Well, my actual SOTD was worn by request of a lovely scarfie I met for tea today! We never stopped talking, had a show and share of scarves and some mutual enablement may just have transpired over the scones and clotted cream...

And I am here to attest that @CoastalCouture's sewing and design skills are absolutely amazing. Her dress was beautiful and she was double-scarved! We shared a lot of geography, years, life stories, silk journeys and barely scratched the surface...

@LKBNOLA I am so touched by your flattery. It was a most delightful afternoon.
Scarifies, we had no problem at all spotting each other and got right to the business of chatting, visiting, covering lots of topics, having cream teas and sandwiches, trying on scarves, and then still having even more to say as we headed back to our cars. So much fun. 5 stars!

Not necessarily on theme but a hectic busy week and an exhausted me don’t allow for a lot of planning.

Yes it was and we even had a slapstick comedy spill. Our guest was helpfully carrying a hors d'ouvre tray to the kitchen before dinner when one of the dogs tripped him up and a tub of smoked fish pate landed on the floor. But it landed right side up! Even so some deliciousness escaped and the four dogs were quite a helpful clean up brigade... the dog that caused the excitement had a large helping of pate on her back and was turning herself to a pretzel to get it. The best entertainment.
These are all so beautiful and I am delighted that we are triple twins!! You look lovely even if exhausted...
Thank you! I wish meet ups could happen more often and so delightfully. There's a reason we are all at home in Scarflandia and that affinity easily translates to real life encounters... at least I have found it so!
For @Lellabelle and thanks to @darkstar66 for the inspiration, I gave my green Tigre Royal a go with a neutral oatmeal background. I like it!
Puppers came by to see what I was doing and held still long enough for a photo, such a good girl. Health-wise she is hanging in there and doing well. Our focus can thankfully now be more on continuing good canine behavior and house, yard, and walk rules. There's so much for her to learn as we make up for lost time.

Thank you so much, Lellabelle! 🤗 I will try it today.It was a happy - if fussy - accidental knot discovery when I was trying to find different ways to style it. I mostly remember how I did it, but I’d have to try and replicate it to be sure!
As I recall, it was something like this:
1. Fold in half on the diagonal (making a big triangle)
2. Pleat the long side of the triangle (you’ll need to keep a hold of the pleats for the next part. You could use a hair tie if you wanted to make it easier on yourself!)
3. Pass the folded scarf behind your neck and use the free corner to tie a small knot around the pleated part to secure it (this is the bit that was fiddly).
4. Fan out the pleats. (They tend to settle in an arc, with the longer ones underneath)
It’s kind of like a modified Edot, with MORE pleats! It’s definitely close to the neck, but you could use a hair tie to secure it and gain a little more silk to work with by skipping the knot entirely (just tick the remaining corner through the tie).

@darkstar66 is spot on, I think. I like it best on white and ivory, but it’s great on cream, soft grey, oatmeal, camel, pale blue and turquoise. It’s super with denim, too!
It’s a great pop of colour against pink (from pale pink through to deep rose), as well as on black (it leans formal on a black dress or blazer). It’s a louder, but complimentary, contrast with berry tones, including purple.

Green ... I am sorta kinda friends with green. My problem is green does not always love me back 
Some of my vintage scarves are in this bright shade of viridian green. It doesn't 100% suit me but I can get by in it. Maybe I should try a retro green eye shadow or green lipstick a la Rihanna in 2012!
Mid-greens are ok for me in small doses.
But I much prefer lime and olive.

My favourite green scarf is L'Egide de Mars in silver grey and shades of green.
And my latest green scarf? Precious Paradise - the green cw was the only one I liked, and my home H didn't get it till this month.
