This is one of my very favorite designs @Karenska and there's a yellow and grey one lurking in the vaults. Your pink and blue is wonderful, and now that I'm finding some of the pinks more flattering to my aging complexion I will keep this cw in mind. (We all know what that means, do we not?Thank you, Textile Girl, I appreciate your providing me woth this information. I have used Ann’s in the past, they are wonderful. I just couldn’t recognize the acronym.
Your Coup de Fouet is lovely. We are sisters. Here’s mine.

Let the twilly enabling commence! 😂 Can't wait to see which twilly starts you off on the slippery slope. When I first started looking at scarves, I thought I could safely ignore Twillies. I thought they were too small, too precious, not really me. Then I started browsing the SOTD thread which was a huge eye-opener. Between you, @bunnycat, @Snausages and so many other posters' creative and stylish use of Twillies (like this one) I can safely predict by the end of 2024 there will be at least one Twilly (and possibly a Mors ring) in my closet.
The other thread was sealed shut before I could comment on @Cordeliere's great mod shots (and hilarious story about BaoBobCat, which I still don't have for similar reasons!) and @Living.la.vida.fifi 's beautiful table setting !!!
Thank you Karenska!
What a fantastic ending to last year's thread fifi!
Thanks so much, all!Thank you for the new setup @papertiger, and thank you to the Scarf Mistresses for putting together this exciting new schedule for 2024.
I'm still catching up on the old thread, so please bear with me as I improvise with makeshift multi-quotes.
@Cordeliere Those are gorgeous selfies! And some lovely acquisitions. The image of the aqualung divers just cracked me up. You have a such a wonderful, warm presence on this forum, please continue to post. I hope 2024 will bring you some relief and will be easier than the past year.
@Maedi - Whoohoo on the Tiger coming out! I hope we'll get to see it more often.
@Cookiefiend - Your collection of moussies never ceases to amaze, Cookie. One more beautiful than the the next. I've certainly gotten a lot of inspirationfrom you this past year.
@Teaforparrots- I love these strong colors of your CSGM on you.
@Nomad - Thank you for your lovely comment, and congratulations on your grail of grails! I'm so glad it was ALL THAT - it's truly stunning. I had to laugh at the image of you on cutthroat island. I will be joining you this year, saber in hand. I think it's time to cut loose the "if only I wear a little more makeup and buy a different top it might work" scarves.
@Ashanti_Rose - Congratulations on your successful Format Correction Program. These look amazing on you and the combination of on earrings, lipstick, and your beatitful hair are just stunning. I also love the dynamic energy in your pictures.
@Jereni - Thank you for the nice comment. I have been admiring your finds for 2023. The CWs you selected are so special and perfect for you.
@Marta_K - Congrats on this amazing Pirouettes. It looks so nonchalant in the absolute best sense of the word.
@Jacq1 - What a wonderful selection of special grails.
@Croisette7 - I am joining in the chorus of those admiring your collection, and am very glad to be twins with you on a few Tulipomanies.
@Redbirdhermes - The Siestes are both extraordinary, congratulations on finding these.
@Karenska - I love your Fleurs et Papillions - what a charming design, and that JL looks extra gorgeous on you.
@Snausages - Thank you for your lovely comment. Congrats on finding the right CW of Metamorphoses. The hem is wonderful, on so is the color combination and border on your Pytheas.
@redheaddem - Glad to be twins with you! You rock these two designs, and the grey VdC look amazing on you too.
@MabelJo - That Bouclerie is very tempting! I love your JL collection, that moussie is beeeeuuuuutifuuuul.
@Julide - Wow! These are amazing! What an incredible, incredible collection. I also succumbed to 2 white Tulipomanies despite being rather intimidated by white backgrounds. They were just too beautiful.
@Lellabelle - You have so many wonderful scarves, and I did want to tell you that you looked absolutely stunning in the outfit with the BdG love and red leather bracelet.
@LKBNOLA - Thank you for your lovely comment. I am in awe of your collection and the grails you acquired this past year, and your styling ideas are always an inspiration.
@Living.la.vida.fifi - Thank you for hosting this wonderful Oscarf week, and for sharing your breathtaking collection of scarves, jewelry, and umbrellas this year. The table setting for Scottish High Tea was exquisite.
Thanks cutie! This is really lovely! Such a fun cw.
Hi Piperdog! The Medor twilly trio is a wonderful accessory to twillies and the largest can be carefully threaded onto small format mousselines. For me, twillies are a summer godsend. They along with the gavroche and bandana (45cm and 55 cm squares) are about the only scarves that I can wear in the summer. A twilly can be a welcome pop of silk when you don’t want a lot of fabric. Here are some ways that I use them. There is a medor trio available on Ann’s Fabulous Finds, if you are interested.
Thank you for this marvelous intro to get our scarf year started! Love all of your choices, but especially how that marble bandanna looks on you… Oh, and the star of the show: Pickles!Good Morning Scarflandia and welcome to the 2024 edition of Scarf of The Day!
Thank you all for an amazing SOTD 2023! The Oscarfs Week did not disappoint! I loved seeing everyone's categories and choices, even if I didn't get to drop by much. Thank you to @Living.la.vida.fifi for hosting a spectacular week!
This year's changeover was the weirdest timing ever because January 1st was on Monday, so we went a whole week technically connected to last year because of the way the year ended, but actually in 2024. I hope that is not an inauspicious start for my year....(Really...)
But, it all turned out for the best, as our brilliant @xincinsin has given me a favorite concept week gloried up with a theme name. Yes, this week is a "no theme" theme week in disguise! What I like to call a "Chaos Week" where literally anything goes and you can't go wrong with anything you wear. The way I figure this is, generally we aren't wearing our scarves to be depressed, or overly stern, so literally anything you put on this week will fit our theme of levity. I know I like to lift my mood and my look with a scarf. So whether it is color that gives your scarf levity, or subject matter, a fond memory a particular scarf invokes, or just the fact your are *wearing* a scarf, let's bring on the levity for the New Year.
=>>07 Jan 2024 Lil Bit of Levity: Fun scarves to start the year on the right note.<<=
I'll start off with my Marble Bandana this week. The bright, happy colors of this bandana can't help but bring a smile to the face.

Such a great one! Looks amazing on youGreat start to the new thread, Bunny, and please thank Pickles for dropping in and gracing us with his purrfect presence. What a darling, handsome boy. Your offerings are lovely, I am quite in love with your JL CSGM - such an elegant cw.
Well, what could lift a mood or start a day better than this bright and happy cw of On A Summer’s Day (and keep ya warm and cozy, too!)?

It is such fun design, and this must be one of my favorite CWsMy SOTD is a scarf that always makes me happy because...birds! Talking birds! Birds in their own house with all sorts of weird accoutrements and scarves with writing and scribbles-- all this makes me feel cheerful on a wet and snowy day...
La Maison des Oiseaux Parleurs (in its 3rd and final CCP!)

The perfect scarf for the week… Loving the red Godzilla!Thank you for the marvelous introduction to the first week of the 2024 Scarf of the Day thread, @bunnycat. I am crossing over to Levity Week with one of my 2023 Oscarf nominees. I already owned two colorways of Animapolis, but once I saw mod shots of the red Godzilla, I had to have him.
My scarf of the day is Animapolis in CW02, the bordeaux/rouge/bleu.
View attachment 5925822
Love them both and I knew you always describe Helios as one of your happiest scarves, and it sure is!Must start the happy scarves week with my happiest of them all, which is Au Royaume d’Helios!

And a new-in happy scarf is the Hermes Horse Club gavroche. I’ve been more less stalking this for months but just hadn’t found it in a store to try on so I finally had my SA order it. It’s so cute and cheerful! (I’m using a chain here to extend it a bit).
View attachment 5925827
Perfect choice for the week and twins with you! This is a fabulous cw, RBH, so rich. And since we’re talkin’ selfies, yours are wonderful! Grand pearls, too. Ok so here’s my very gay cw (gay in the old usage) of Animapolis, that riotous city of all sorts of merry creatures.

Just love it on you… Amazing shade of red and best hem!@Cordeliere you made me laugh. It was great to see you finally! Think you look amazing and younger than 73 wish I could say the same . I think most ( all) of us struggle with selfies. At least once we get past a certain age.
Yesterdays scarf. Promenades de paris 70. Love the hem on this!

Gilbert is a doll and so handsome with green Pampa!@MabelJo said
“just love the striking background color of your Dans les Branches de l'Ombu, it's so bright and beautiful. Happy to be Pampa twins/sisters. My sweet boy Gilbert modeled my colorway today:”
what a precious boy, MabelJo. How handsome Gilbert is in his Mama’s beautiful green Pampa. I’m smitten.
So fun and beautifully styled!Having fun with Super Silk Quest twilly and Chaine d'Ancre 90 scarf ring today.

Gaaaah! That moussie looks amazing on you!Thank you for all the lovely compliments and recognition, MabelJo : hugs:. Please definitely give CSGTs a try - I adore them. That denim shirt is a favorite- the ruffle give it a bit of elegance to a “workshirt” vibe. And I must return the compliments on your last two posts of 2023 - all wonderful additions and favorites and your JL collection is TDF. When I see your blue JL stamped, I kind of regret not trying it - I love mine - a very bold cw with black and colors, but your is so calm. And the orange one is perfect for summer. But when I see the JL moussie, with whom you are twins with others, notably @LKBNOLA and @Cookiefiend, I have pangs. It’s soooo beautiful and has a certain wild elegance.
Now Gilbert. I’m in love ❤️❤️❤️❤️. I nearly fell over seeing that photo, the perfect darling posing so perfectly with a most perfect scarf gracing his neck. It should be a calendar entry.
💡 We should make a calendar of Our Pets in H.
Here is me trying on @LKBNOLA ‘s JL moussie last summer. I will see if the boutique I am visiting this week has it.

Safe travels! Love this lookGood morning everyone! I am about to get back on the road but feeling happy in Super Silk Quest-- which is a super fun design. My SIL and brothers are all dedicated gamers and this scarf gets a cheerful seal of approval from them, too. I took @Jereni's suggestions and tried an outdoor mod shot! Of course I cropped out my snow-blind squint-- it is very cold and very winter white here...

Glorious CW of one of my favorite designs of all time@Cordeliere I loved your honest and hilarious post today. I too am on the selfie struggle bus and it takes me like 10-12 attempts to get it right. I then try to crop it to death to make it look better. I didn’t crop this one in solidarity with you, and it’s not my best or fave. RIP to the 🍒 sweater in this throwback pic of sadly what was the only other time I put on Jaguar Quetzal.
Oh my! Gorgeous and perfect! Was this one the special edition? I love it!!The dancers on Hommage a Gene Kelly are beginning the New Year on a fun note.
