How wonderful, HE! Congratulations, it a beauty. Those lil monstersGood afternoon !
First Day of the Holiday and I have now wrapped gifts for two hours and made dough for Swedish Saffransbullar (saffron buns with marcipan) and have catched up on a ton of podcast episodes - talk about hygge!!!
But I also got time to play with yesterdays scarf mail. I am sure I will sleep well tonight now that I have finally added Sweet Dreams to my collection. The triangle does only have two of the jolly monsters - but the color matches a glas of Lillet rosé aperitif 🥂

Hope you have a fabulous Friday !
Thank you kindly, Karenska!Spectacular, Croisette. What an amazing brooch, too.
I had a lovely milk punch cocktail at my birthday dinner at a Nordic-Asian restaurant. I didn’t wear any H today, but a scarf I’ve been stalking was finally discounted this morning and I hit the purchase button - more details to come!

Hello dear Scarflandia,
I missed a whole week of posts and I’ll try to go backward. SOTD was Ex Libris en Kimono CSGM. I love how it looks so different depending how we style it.
Happy weekend

Thank you dear @Cookiefiend! And welcome home! Both so beautiful but I especially love your lovely neutral Tulipomani!
Thanks to everyone for their kind words - I’m on my way home from Paris now - I’ve had a lovely break from the hurly-burly whirlwind I’ve been in for about 4 months now (and things should start being more settled after January! Woot!) and ready to celebrate Christmas with my boys … and sweet Coco.
I have prezzies!![]()
Oh this bal is so so fun and I love the colors!
OmI laughed cookie at the cameo of the sleeper haha.
Enjoy the trip back
@Helena7 kimonos in large format is a dream. The design is such a chameleon looking different each time it’s there one. Envious over here of your beauty
And @Teaforparrots Happy Belated B day! We must talk about your dinner place. I’m so intrigued and may need to take a drive!
Thank you @Redbirdhermes, @bunnycat and @Maedi! The fluffy jacket was a fun find at the Holiday pop up market at my daughter's workplace-- it is warm and very cozy. I think pink hot chocolate is a one-off novelty, @Redbirdhermes -- at least I hope so!
Happy birthday, @Teaforparrots -- looking forward to your new scarf mail, too!
Thank you @Lellabelle-- Dragon looks adorable and ready for visions of sugarplums (or bones and biscuits!).
So lovely, all @Pivoine66-- always loving seeing your collection and photos... Happy Holidays to you.
Gorgeous @Helena7-- I am so happy to see you back in Scarflandia after your storm troubles...
You look stunning @redheaddem-- love both of these on you so much and the Tulipomanie on red is genius! Thank you for all the kind comments, too. Madison Party is a men's 100-- it was called Faubourg Party in the regular edition and this one was produced for the opening of the new flagship store...
Gorgeous!!! Someday, @Croisette7, I will find this...
How perfect for a scarf-on-site @Cookiefiend and so festive, too! Safe travels home to your family and Coco and I cannot wait to se your prezzies!
What do you wear to mix up a batch of Unicorn Hot Chocolate? Why a scarf with a unicorn of course!!!
Vallee de Cristal in holiday colors plus pink and a white unicorn to boot!

Never fear, I will tuck it in my collar while in mixology mode!!!![]()
Hi, everyone! Ready to launch into the next theme?
New Kids on the Block: New designers or those with less than 5 designs
When we first had a theme along these lines, Ugo Gattoni and Alice Shirley were just starting their relationship with H. Now their scarf designs definitely number more than 5and some are ridiculously priced in the resale market.
The artist I'm showcasing for our opening is Jonathan Burton. IIRC, he has just reached 5 designs this season.
I got off to a slow start with Mr Burton. For some reason, none of the cws of his Hermes Tea Time or Tied Up in Knots caught my eye. I loved the designs but simply could not make up my mind about which to get. The cartoony drawings appealed to me, and I know I'm going to get a Tea Time sooner or later (that rabbit and dragon).
My first JB was Hermes Story. I still had a hard time with the cw but I bought this unusual lavender blue in the end.

Then the situation changed with Mystere au 24. Not only did I love the design, I actually wanted to get more than one cw. I settled for just one with red and blue in it - my safe zone colours. The design captured my interest because of its wacky combo of elements. Would I buy a 2nd cw? I might...

His latest design Hermes Parade hit all the right notes with me. I succumbed to two.
My first was the SE for the Melbourne boutique.

Then on my recent trip to Beijing, I found the cw that never came to my home H.

I really like that all the bobbing balloons form the shape of a horse.
Did I miss any of his designs?
Which are the new or newer designers attracting your attention? Or stretch the theme and tell us about those designers from decades ago who produced just one or two designs for H.
Vermillion is always so pretty on you and the b/w Tulipomania is spectacular. Both are radiant and beautiful with your coloring. Enjoy the time off, I share your sentiments about time off.

After a few crazy end of year rush weeks, I am finally on vacation. I am so looking forward to the holidays 🎄
It is nice to find the time to visit here, I really enjoyed all the magnificent winter silks and scarves.
I do not own any explicit winter scarves (yet!) I have mostly been wearing cashmere for warmth this week.
Bal de soie in Vermillion, and Tulipomanie in White and anthracite.

We are having a busy day today and heading into NYC for a family birthday celebration. Coincidentally I am on theme with Stately Wheels by Stuart Patience, who has designed only two carrés for the house-- this and Faubourg of Dreams, a men's 100 CS shown recently by @ajaxbreaker and @EtsyBoss. Here is the "scarf story" for Stately Wheels-- once I read this (and also saw the burgundy color) I had to have it!
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Buckingham Palace… but it's not just any horse, because the one at the center of this design is a Windsor Grey, the same horse that pulls the famous Gold State Coach. Its twirling reins frame the equally royal Queen Alexandra's State Coach and Diamond Jubilee State Coach. In the corners of the scarf, the English, Northern Irish, Welsh, and Scottish symbols, delicately placed on colored wheels, unite the four countries of the kingdom. The British designer Stuart Patience drew his inspiration from a visit to the Royal Mews, the stables of the royal family, which gave Hermès free rein for the composition of this scarf."

Great outfit.Archive SOTD of Antonio Carrau’s Flores del Este. His website antoniocarrau.com shows that he worked on 2 projects with Hermès: this and Silla de Gaucho. Also found out that Flores del Este is a type of hydrangea. Lucky to have found this 140 silk at the recent Toronto sale.

Thank you for a great introduction @xincinsin 👍I also love Mystere…
Oh you are soo kind dear @Maedi, thank you very much. I hope you have some time off too!
Beautiful and an excellent travel scarf.Ex Libris en Kimonos for me today. Didnt bring many scarves for my holiday travel this week, but this was a must. One of my favorite purchases in what I consider a very successful grail acquisition year.

There are years when the colour family was totally my taste and I bought many multiples, and then years when pickings were slim because nothing was exactly what I wanted. I went through the entire range of Precious Paradise this year. Loved the drawings, and portions of each scarf cw, but nothing completely spoke to me when I saw it in person. I might still get one if it appeared at an H sale, but above retail? Nope. (It has taken me many years to learn to say Nope to a beautiful scarfI love the aesthetic but Tea for Two, Mystère, and Hermès Parade didn’t end up being in cws that really spoke to me.
