It’s lovely. The rich purple is yummy. I must keep any eye out for this one.

Thank you ‘Nola. Would love to see yours with CDL when you can!

Congratulations, @HermesEchidna ! You’ve had such a great year for grails 😊
My mouth started watering at the very mention of saffron buns with marzipan :girlsigh:. That’s my idea of comfort food! If you have a recipe you recommend, I’d love to give these a try. Enjoy the Lillet rose

Thank you, @Jereni!

Paris at Christmas is such a treat. Thanks for sharing, Cookie!

Thank you, dear @GloWW0rM! The week is finally done, and I am ending it with a cocktail and some comfort food. Toasted cheese sandwiches and chocolate orange.

Beautiful! The Rembrandt is a wonder, even during restoration.

SOTD is space derby, black and gold. I’m in a starry night place this week, evidently

Cocktail to accompany it is a Claridge (like the London hotel), a Friday night favourite. Easy and tasty. Recipe below:
1oz gin
1oz dry vermouth (Noilly prat, for preference)
0.5oz apricot brandy
0.5oz cointreau
Shake over ice, and enjoy cold with a twist of lemon peel for garnish.

And MrBelle is joining me with a beer from our local craft brewery:

Happy Friday everyone. We made it to the weekend :drinks:
I adore this scarf and the cw is just gorgeous. I showed my husband your porter photo and he’s intrigued. Hmmm, may try to find it for him in our beverage store.

Still OT. Recent trip to Christmas Markets started in Amsterdam. Was finally able to visit a top museum on my list - the Rijksmuseum. Appropriate wear was Tulipomanie.

Had a little treat in the cafe - this Dutch House won the pastry competition to celebrate the 750th anniversary of Amsterdam.

And finally got to see Rembrandt's Masterpiece - The Night Watch - well sort of...it was undergoing restoration. I was a bit bummed out but as my background is in chemistry so I am also fascinated by art restoration. Because it was unframed you got to see the borders - which reminded me of a reference in "The Thomas Crown Affair" (Brosnan /Russo) where she comments that forgers don't typically see the borders of a painting because they are hidden under the frame, so that's one way insurers can tell if it's a fake.

Beautiful scarf and tied so gorgeously. I love Amsterdam! We saw The Night Watch in April 2023, it’s restoration is definitely coming along.

Welcome @xincinsin as our host for New Artists week, and thank you for the informative post about artist Jonathan Burton.

I've pulled a few scarves from my collection that were designed by Hermès artists who I'm fairly sure have fewer than 5 designs with the house. Today I'm beginning with Maori artist and tattooist Te Rangitu Netana who produced one design for Hermès.

His festive Kawa Ora is my scarf of the day.

After a few crazy end of year rush weeks, I am finally on vacation. I am so looking forward to the holidays 🎄

It is nice to find the time to visit here, I really enjoyed all the magnificent winter silks and scarves.

I do not own any explicit winter scarves (yet!) I have mostly been wearing cashmere for warmth this week.

Bal de soie in Vermillion, and Tulipomanie in White and anthracite.

Vermillion is always so pretty on you and the b/w Tulipomania is spectacular. Both are radiant and beautiful with your coloring. Enjoy the time off, I share your sentiments about time off.
