Sorry not on theme other than saying or let’s picture me singing the famous winter themed song when I woke up….”baby it’s cold outside” and dressing accordingly haha. I put on my heavy sweater coat!!! And paired with zouaves bandana in marine. An absolutely favorite of mine. A definite throw and go

Good morning!!!
Today, as a native Dane, I embrace the hygge @Karenska introduced yesterday. December is the annual peak of Hygge - treats, candles, friends, family and cosy blankets and other wollen garments. In this spirit I wear a Big warm scarf today. For every cashmere the drink of choise must be glögg - mulled wine - but as it is 7.30 in the morning I will settle for the other hygge drink tea….
These days a part of the hygge is to wrap the presents for next week and the frantic knitting of the last ones. These socks will not be ready….

I love this @Karenska! My DH made quite a lot of fun of me one year when I bought a bottle of Saint Germain elderflower liquer simply because I adored the shape of the bottle on my bar cart...
Two holiday brights for me today!!! One new-to-me and a bit of a trompe l'oeil "hygge" as it appears to be a nice warm knit! Totally enabled by @Redbirdhermes, I was absolutely delighted to find Au Coin du Feu in the wonderful red cw!

Editing to add the thumbnail photo-- I know this design is well known and much loved, but for me it also has the added sentimental connection of a snow globe, which I collected in my youth-- specifically as travel souvenirs! As someone who grew up in tropical countries, those little winter scenes seemed so magical...
Oh, my dear @LKBNOLA, I am sure we can do better than this! Always happy to enable, I mean ‘help’ 🤣@Lellabelle-- my bar cart is the subject of fond amusement as almost every bottle is chosen for its visual impact (Skull vodka, Bombay Sapphire Blue, Maker's Mark with the red wax dripping, etc...) and I am not one for cocktails so it makes it even funnier to everyone! But I may hit you up for recipes, even so! And thank you for your always lovely comments...
As if all of the pretty scarves here aren’t enough, now I want that aqua bottle 😂Oh, my dear @LKBNOLA, I am sure we can do better than this! Always happy to enable, I mean ‘help’ 🤣
I’m not much of a vodka drinker, and the skull bottle really is quite unique, so I’d keep that (you can always refill it at some point!)
For the gins, there are some excellent choices now. The rise in the craft gin movement had produced some exceptional gins. Some of which come in lovely bottles. Keeping in mind the aesthetic sensibilities of your cart, when it comes time to refresh these, you might take a look out for:
The Isle of Harris gin (an excellent Scottish gin, that comes in a beautiful bottle that reminds me ever so slightly of reticello glass)
View attachment 6104126
Or Mermaid gin (the scaled bottle, with its ombré blue, is adorable)
View attachment 6104127
A wallet friendly alternative is Citadelle, an excellent French gin that is delicate enough to tempt even non-gin aficionados and makes a superb martini. It also comes in a very attractive fluted blue bottle. I always have a bottle, or two, of this on the cart. It’s not robust enough for many cocktails, but it’s a great pairing in gin-forward drinks where a clean gin is a must.
View attachment 6104134
A personal favourite martini gin, when I can find it, is Bacur. It’s an Italian gin, with bright juniper and excellent balance. It comes in a beautiful copper finished bottle that is quite unique (and probably speaks to our love of orange packaging here 😊)
View attachment 6104147
And, sticking with the Italian theme, if you can find it, Italicus is a superb addition to the bar cart, that also comes in a beautiful bottle. It’s an Italian bergamot liqueur, which is delicious in a martini! Just reduce the vermouth and add a little of this (up to 20% for a more prominent flavour)
View attachment 6104153
Just to make you laugh, I also recently bought a gin just for the stunning packaging (so can take some of the ‘heat’ from you) The contents are distinctly average, but the presentation is outstanding. It’s not the first to use butterfly pea flower for the intense purple-blue colour it imparts (and which changes to lavender-pink with the addition of citrus to change the pH), but it is the first I know of to add pearl mica. It looks like a swirling galaxy in a bottle.
View attachment 6104157
You really need to see it in motion to capture the effect; the pearl mica disperses through the liquid and shimmers through the indigo like the Milky Way in motion. Mine is likely to remain a display bottle too - it’s too pretty to consume and there are better options above!
Well, that’s my public service for the beautification of bar carts over!
Enjoy!
Lol, which one?!As if all of the pretty scarves here aren’t enough, now I want that aqua bottle 😂

Thank you for sharing, moma. Love the details and jacquard. As promised, my unseasonal pink Plumes et Grelots today. Hard to tie because there are so many fun elements to show—the jingle bells, the sleighs, and the jacquards.
Knockout outfit! @JereniThis is not technically a winter scarf - being Splash Park I suppose it’s the opposite, but I’m so excited to have a scarf that more or less coordinates with my Norwegian sweater! These patterns are intricate and I never feel like any H scarves really go with them.

Thank you on all counts @Jereni! We must find you a Zabavushka, for sure!I am definitely guilty of buying liquor bottles bc I love the shape. And then once I use them up, if it wasn’t good I’ve definitely bought a higher quality one and then just filled up the beautiful bottle again and keep notes of which one it actually is on my phone hahahaha.
That Au Coin is a perfect holiday scarf! Radiant on you. And of course Zabavushka is so festive. I had the opportunity to buy this last week and was too slow! Maybe someday.
Perfectly angelic and wintry! I love your lippie also.
Well, my bar cart and I are suitable chastened but eager to step up our game! I shared your photos with my gin-savvy sister (that sounds worse than it is somehow) and she just laughed and said I was sadly late to the party. The good news is that next time I am in New Orleans I will be giving my pretty cart a make-over! Very partial to the Mermaid bottle and the Italicus because they are so lovely and the Taynton Bay for the cool narrative vibe and conversational value! Thank you so much for my "gin-timental education" @Lellabelle!!!!Oh, my dear @LKBNOLA, I am sure we can do better than this! Always happy to enable, I mean ‘help’ 🤣

Thank you, sweet @GloWW0rM -- my holidays scarves, though infrequently worn bring me real joy! And to this day I cannot resist a snow globe. I just bought one with a unicorn in it for my granddaughter! 🦄Two perfect designs for the season. That Zabavushka is just stunning.

I love this history lesson on a scarf @Karenska! So fabulous. I love the green cw and I agree, there are so many beautiful ones and even quire subtle variations on the main colors, too. The matte blanc is beautiful and your whole outfit is beautifully festive. I wore my MOP earlier this week as well@Maedi and @Redbirdhermes have modeled their beautiful cws of L’Hiver en Poste. Yesterday I wore mine, a cw I love and find festive for the holidays. I would love to acquire a different cw, perhaps this one, as there were many beautiful cws issued over the years.

The Bull and Mouth Inn was a coaching in in the City of London and dated from 1666. It was once an important arrival and departure point for coaches from all over Britain, but particularly for the north of England and Scotland. It was demolished in 1888. James Pollard painted this scene which is the basis of Ledoux’s design and research tells me this is the Duke of Beaufort Coach.

Hope your day is merry and bright!
It looks absolutely stunning on it! Just gorgeous!Well, y'all. It is a two scarf day for me today. I finally-- finally-- received my last piece from the 1024 AW season. This is the very first item I reserved at the boutique last summer and it is the very last to manifest, barely making it before the year end! I can't really say this is "holiday" but there is that beautiful brick-red hem. And it is making its debut at a small holiday gathering.
