Thank you, @Karenska , for opening winter scenery to us. I only own 1 winter scarf, for the obvious reason that I cannot make me wear these scarves other than in deep winter and as my collection is limited... But I have another 2 scarves which could be ranged into this category and one of them is the beautiful Grønland. When I bought it some 35 years ago, I chose this cw because I thought it was the perfect one for the theme. When I walked the neighbour's dog, Fluffy, yesterday I thought she could easily join the pack, she would be their white beauty! I remarked that the mountains in Grønland are painted with an additional layer of white which has been described before in this thread.View attachment 6103312View attachment 6103313View attachment 6103314View attachment 6103315
I don’t know which makes me gasp more, @darkstar66, your gorgeous scarf or that adorable puppy :faint:. That cw is fabulous and it suits you perfectly with your beautiful hair and eyes and complexion. But the pup :faint:. Samoyed or Siberian Husky? I’m betting Husky. May I go walking with you, please, please? :dog:

Well, a universal holiday chore is a trip to the Post Office-- those parcels and cards do not mail themseves!-- and that is where I am headed this morning in the perfect holiday scarf: Mail Coach by Hugo Grykar. This design (though not this scarf) is a birth year one for me so I was delighted to find such a pretty cw in good condition. Twins with @Croisette7 and I am sure some others! Though not a winter scene, the colors (especially the festive cherry red) and the vignettes remind me of holiday travel.

Perfect scarf for a Christmas package mail run! I love the top hats - what a dapper driver! Inspired pairing with the ice blue sweater, too.
It’s important at the holidays, with all the hubbub and for many, the inevitable stress of it all, not to mention sometimes feeling sad, to Keep Calm and Carry On. And perhaps practice Hygge, a Norwegian and Danish tradition of fostering equality, gratitude, comfort, harmony, togetherness, being present, and seeking simple pleasures, pursuits and qualities that are considered key for living a happy life.
Some scarves simply embody hygge to me. The CS medium losanges are perfect for cozying up to a fire with a book and a cup of tea, or throwing on for added warmth on a walk. I have a few and they are my mainstay “lil winters”. These two have the added advantage of having bright and cheery holiday colors. Have a peaceful day.

Ooh, these lil cuties are so snuggly and are such fun pops of festive colour. I can see why you love them so.
Definitely in need of some hygge here, thank you for the reminder to focus on what matters :hugs:

So, so pretty. Lkb, your sweaters are always so perfect with your scarves! I love this combo. And I missed your Touterelles until this morning - how did you ever find it? It’s glorious. Congratulations.

Not winter themed but I consider it a winter holiday scarf for some reason. I guess because the Colors and hem scream “party” to me. I also have to be in a bold mood too. Wore it out to dinner w friends before the holiday craziness begins for us and we don’t see each other.
And I wore it the day after the meteor shower in northern hemisphere! So the stars on this scarf choice may have been a subliminal effect from the night before too. That was a fun night to try to see them. DD and I went out at 11pm to try to find a spot with no city lights. I think I may have seen two. But the eyes play such tricks with all the airplanes and the moon light was so strong!! So it was tough to catch them in so much light.
And if being totally honest, we have had so many coyotes and wolves in our suburban town that I was not keen at all to walk further in the woods at night to get to darker space for stargazing, with not another human in sight
Space derby.

Very festive, dear Nomad, yes, a holiday scarf, indeed! This is my favorite cw of this very special design. Backing up. You have had wolves in your town?? Really!

The holidays are not complete without wearing this special winter scarf. I particularly like how beautifully the falling snow is depicted on this design.

Look at those horses struggling to deliver the mail through the deep snow. Today I am patiently waiting for FedEx to deliver some orange boxes.

L'Hiver en Poste is my scarf of the day.

Thank you, Karenska. The breed is called Pomsky and is a crossing of Siberian Husky and Pomeranian. She has been educated by her owners quite a lot, in my opinion, a little bit tooooo much, she doesn't even bark. She is quite lively though, the most when she sees "collegues" ,then she gets completely excited and starts dancing around. But without giving a sound!

I met a Pomsky at the golf course where I walk with my good friend and Golden Retriever! She was so sweet. Bookmarking that breed for future consideration. Interesting that she doesn’t bark. What is the lil darling’s name, please?

A perfect winter scarf. Ledoux is masterful at snowy scenes. I hope FedEx is as diligent in their delivery as these champions, fearlessly tackling that deep snow! I echo @Karenska with her admiration of these fabulous pearls too - wow!

Good morning!!

Today it is Sct Lucia Day. A Day to light candles and look towards brighter times. 🕯️also a Day to send warm thoughts to those sick or in distress or just to wish for endurance in x-mas times.

I wear a candle pin and a holiday red scarf to match. Fornunately it Can tie in a Way not to reveal the slaying and dismembering going on in the motive…

She is called Fluffy. But she listens to any name and you can talk to her in any language as long as you show/give her her favourite goodies!
