Seasonal or knot - this is beeeeyouteeful on both tops!

Your posts are always so beautifully thought out… and thoughtful. I so appreciate it. I struggle with the ‘icy’ blues, so I understand completely!
This is a lovely SOTD - I’ll be curious to see if it makes the cut - oh - and kudos for the hemming!

oh dear!! I hope your ribs aren’t broken - my fingers are crossed in hope for you!

Ooooo - an Amazone! Congratulations!

That is just spectacular!

:faint:
glorious!
Thank you Cookie!

Dear Scarfies, Not going to be on the thread for a couple of days. I slipped on my stairs and am at the dr for an exam and xray script. I may have broken ribs. Praying not. Too distracted to concentrate on anything but this newest “illness”. What a five weeks it’s been. I’ll catch up when I feel better. You all are showing off some beauties. Take care :hugs:.
I hope you feel better soon!!!!

My last purchase of 2022 was this Sous L’Egide de Mars wash scarf. I love the feel of the vintage 70s so I had to have one wash scarf before they’re gone (hopefully not forever!).

Not a great pairing with my top today but I was running late. I’d like to pair it next with jewel toned tops to bring out more of those colours in the scarf.

I could totally see this on reds and raspberry pink!

You’ve had a rough go of things for awhile @Karenska - hope this one is quickly in the rear view mirror

This year I’m trying to identify holes in my 90s and (as someone said before me) shop my collection. The holes I can identify are warm greens (mostly dark), peachy pink, and the lack of anything with a strong border. As for shopping my collection, I was tempted by the cat scarf last season in the gorgeous beige dore until I remembered I had a similar style scarf with the gorgeous color fades with my feux du ciel!

Today was my orange H-Day! With the intention of wearing the bolder colors from my collection and wearing at least one scarf per day! In the morning I wore my CSGM Balade en Berline which I already showed in December
Later I changed to my first Hermès scarf. The one that started it all
Nuba Mountain with the lion peeking out from the front.
And wearing my orange Clic  View attachment 5683172View attachment 5683173
So flattering and pretty on you. Another perfect pairing with earrings and lipstick.

YES!!! Stunning! I love this! Sorry to any chat buyers but I think this has prettier swirling colors and w/o an eye or cat claw in the way. I was looking at Henry smith as my substitute for the same feels as le chat. I hadn’t thought of Ciel as another substitute

Resolution 4: La vie en rose.
H-scarves bring me great joy. And I'm not going to explain why on a forum like this. 2022 has been difficult in many ways, but the few minutes I've taken each day to choose a scarf have been a little comfort I couldn't have done without.
Yes, I admit, I have more pink scarves than I need. I think I'm not the only one here. And I don't intend to stop there with this colour and its variations. It's always very comforting and soft. Why deprive yourself?
I have to say that when I found this jumper, I fell in love with it immediately! See you later this year for the different options!

Twinsies @Coco2606 - this is a fantastic scarf and it’s perfect with your jumper!

@Katharina Luise you look marvelous in orange! And the scarf sings against the black!
You should buy every scarf H ever makes with these colors @Teaforparrots! Did you consider the blue Costumes de Fete? I bet you would rock that cw! Very cute glasses and there's nothing like a good haircut--except a new scarf!

A good jacket -- especially one that becomes a personal classic-- is exempt from everything in my stylebook @Lellabelle! The gift that keeps on giving. I just had to replace a beloved navy blazer. It was traumatic but I think I finally got it right...

A gorgeously wonderful cw on you and a textbook example of a perfect CCP @laurenad. Congratulations-- she's glorious on you!

Thank you so much @Living.la.vida.fifi-- I adore the caramel Tresors too :girlsigh:

Thank you @Snausages-- I am trying to resist this design in a larger format-- a different kind of multiple that would require a different 3 letter acronym. FEP-- Format Enhancement Program?

It is really lovely in moussie form @Living.la.vida.fifi and  on resolution-keeping!

Those are charming and you have the best scarf jewelry @Snausages! My one pup is running me ragged-- don't know how you are still standing with two new fur babies at home!

 I just responded to @Snausages that the large format of this is soooo tempting! There's one similar to the blue crooking its finger at me from the web but I am being good...Do you have it in CSGM @Maedi? Would love to see...

Thank you! They are truly different @momasaurus...

Stunning! Good work amplifying the pink in the scarf with your sweater @Coco2606-- I look forward to seeing it with other scarves!

Good morning all. I have another New Year's Resolution which I tried and mostly failed to keep last year. One of my rationales for buying multiples of a loved design is that I look at the scarves as "seasonal" but honestly, that attempt to pigeonhole my scarves is quite limiting. While it may comfort my wallet (and my conscience) to think that each addition is serving a unique purpose, the silks themselves object! So here is my third (:girlshocked: ) cw of Ex Libris en Kimonos which I persuaded myself was a "summer" option. Mostly I wear it casually, like this:
View attachment 5683195
But like @Coco2606, I received a new pink sweater over the holidays and suddenly, I thought I might "winterize" my ELeK. So here is my SOTD in keeping with my new resolve to just wear the scarves and not be so rigid about their "place" in my Scarfdrobe.

How pretty you look, Snausages!

Ohmigoodness - fantastic look!

I love this look, it lets the colors shine!

Today I'm reviewing some light blue scarves in my collection. Currently there are four light blue scarves in the rehome pile, which is, of course, subject to change. Two of them, Wedgwood (High Perch) and Hemispaerium Coeli Boreale (neither is pictured), have never seen the light of day. Just didn't like them when they showed up. Two have been shown once, an original issue Les Mineraux and the Aloha Rectangle (a pristine double wide scarf mispriced as a 90, although Aloha did show up a second time thanks to a callout from @LKBNOLA). Peuple du Vent and Le Jardin de Leila are constantly in danger of slipping into the sell pile. I love both designs, just not the light blue versions. The light blue Faubourg Tropical (not to worry, I still have three!) and Chacun fait son nid actually did exit the collection during 2022.

Light blue scarves that are definitely staying in the collection include Duo Cosmique and the Golden Jubilee Regina. Sous les Orangers is a grail that stays until a better colorway comes along, which may be a long, long time, if ever.

A recent resolution that I've made is to try, really try, to send back a scarf during the return period if I have my doubts. I managed to do so with the light blue double face Tigre Royal, shown here during a post-purchase shirt check. I kept the jade version.

View attachment 5682902

The latest light blue scarf to enter my collection, (I knew I shouldn't get light blue, but it was a design I was considering and it was a 90 mispriced as a 45), is Xavier de Poret's boot scarf, A Propos de Bottes. I gave this 1998 release a bath and an ironing, discovered some missing stitches so stitched up the hem in a couple of places, and reattached the care tag that was literally hanging by a thread. (FYI, I had to repair a scarf some time ago and found a seller on etsy who had small hanks of silk thread in many colors for about $20. Now it's on hand and ready to go. Both times I found a perfect color match.)

So, this scarf is ready for its debut today. My fingers are crossed that this light blue wabi-sabi beauty finds a long term home in my heart and my collection.

My Scarf of the Day is A Propos de Bottes. This scarf is so soft, sort of like the muffled sounds outside thanks to our latest snowfall. Shown here with light and dark tops.

Such a thoughtful approach @Redbirdhermes - the boots look great against navy with the happy snowflakes complementing the pearls
I have managed to wear non black 2 times and all black 2 times so far in my "wear less black in winter" resolution... 50/50 is a win win!

With Cheval Vague CS GT today:

But how could you not wear black with that spectacular GT @bunnycat ! It makes the primary colors just pop
So clever and so cute! You are so creative tying these… and I love the dangly ring

We are twins! I love the colors on this one and I’ve never worn it with pink! Should try that

Orange is such a great color on you! Love this pairing

What a lovely one! I especially love the beautiful pink offset by the red hem

You just beautifully showed the versatility of this amazing silk. It is a stunner!

All these soft shades of blue are so wonderful on you… I honestly love them all

I think this is a keeper for life… It is stunning!

I thought I was gonna be out for a brief errand but ended up being out for almost 5 hours between one thing and the other!
Pani la Shar Pawnee was my companion

I actually haven't tried it yet with any other color than black... I will have to fix that....

Who says pareos are just for summer?! There is so much fabric this Flamingo Party that found me through the magic of @Living.la.vida.fifi kept me warm

 A good FP pareo is a brilliant neck warmer. Mine get so much wear time every year... The colors look fab on you too!

Well...I have to agree with your sentiments with the exception of Mineraux which I find fabulous in this color. I keep hoping for a reissue. Also feeling a little sad about the Faubourg Tropicale as I am your twin. Bottes is very pretty, especially with more of the boots showing.

Thank you for the kind comments, Maedi. After I posted my light blue scarf photos, I noticed that half the time I paired them with gray tops. Those scarves look more washed out. So I decided to post Bottes with a light and a dark top. I think the scarf is more striking with the dark navy blue top. Note that I wore Mineraux with a dark red top (I was thinking of the colors in watermelon tourmaline) and that scarf does pop more than the Peuple du Vent on gray below it. Something I have learned and will need to remember when selecting my outfit for the day.

As for Faubourg Tropical, I had recently acquired the Milan Limited Edition, which had colors very similar to this colorway, except that the border is pink. It was a close call, because I do love that blue colorway, but the LE won. (Please excuse the browning of the pink in the lower right of the LE photo. The light was uneven and it really affected those colors. The pink flowers there were exactly the same in both colorways.)
