Oh dear Karenska, I am so sorry! I hope your ribs aren’t broken and I wish you a quick recovery!Dear Scarfies, Not going to be on the thread for a couple of days. I slipped on my stairs and am at the dr for an exam and xray script. I may have broken ribs. Praying not. Too distracted to concentrate on anything but this newest “illness”. What a five weeks it’s been. I’ll catch up when I feel better. You all are showing off some beauties. Take care.

This made me laugh! I don’t like orange and orange doesn’t like me.
also, I usuallly avoid the horse and equestrian theme scarves.
despite this I have managed to amass too many scarves!
I have a remedy now. I have fallen for the H lipsticks....so I'll likely never go home empty handed again, and can also be guilt free...
This is a very funny little vignette @FizzyWater -- I think @bunnycat's lipstick rescue strategy could help next time...
They didn't even have lipsticks, I think! It was a very small store. And there were no new season scarves when I stopped on the way back.
So I bought a scarf today, like just now, that I've wanted for a long time and found at a great price: The Amazone gavroche. Which, uh, has a fair amount of orange. And a horse.
(But it's a celebratory purchase! My mom got out of surgery in good shape today and the procedure was much less invasive than expected!)
Your new jumper matches your scarf perfectly. It’s been really wet, grey and dreary where I live, and your hot pink sweater definitely brightens these kinds of winter days.Resolution 4: La vie en rose.
H-scarves bring me great joy. And I'm not going to explain why on a forum like this. 2022 has been difficult in many ways, but the few minutes I've taken each day to choose a scarf have been a little comfort I couldn't have done without.
Yes, I admit, I have more pink scarves than I need. I think I'm not the only one here. And I don't intend to stop there with this colour and its variations. It's always very comforting and soft. Why deprive yourself?
I have to say that when I found this jumper, I fell in love with it immediately! See you later this year for the different options!

Wow - that is The Perfect Red!
Thank you kindly fifi!
Too true! And Miss Snickers can approve all she wants, from afar, as long as she isn't trying to bite the scarves. (Yes- it's a thing with her...)
Wowza- That some amazing warrior woman red! Perfect for going to battle doing errands....
The only way to go. When you are behind- just double up!!!
Thank you kindly Nhare!
Thank you, Coco. The dark side is verrrry strong this trip
Back at the airport today to fly up to Chieng Mai for 4 days. One of DH's friends is there. I'll let the desire simmer...
Mr XCS widened his eyes when I declared that I shall drop by the H when we return to Bangkok.
In the interest of H financial prudence, I will check the local H price and the Thai luxury tax rate before I go. After all, there is yet another H at the airport dutyfree when I depart next week.
Sorcery at play, I tell you
Ha ha... you do have great ideas, Rbh! Yes, it's my responsibility to do so(Think DH will be convinced?)
Hopefully I will stay strong. I've already asked my SA for three SS23 designs and I've got my eye on something at a fave reseller, so I must remember my resolution to buy only what I love and will wear.
Need to add a resolution - learn how to wear a CSGM as stylishly as you, @Croisette7, @lanit and other scarfies with big formats. That insouciance is simply out of my reach![]()
You should buy every scarf H ever makes with these colors @Teaforparrots! Did you consider the blue Costumes de Fete? I bet you would rock that cw! Very cute glasses and there's nothing like a good haircut--except a new scarf!
A good jacket -- especially one that becomes a personal classic-- is exempt from everything in my stylebook @Lellabelle! The gift that keeps on giving. I just had to replace a beloved navy blazer. It was traumatic but I think I finally got it right...
A gorgeously wonderful cw on you and a textbook example of a perfect CCP @laurenad. Congratulations-- she's glorious on you!
Thank you so much @Living.la.vida.fifi-- I adore the caramel Tresors too
Thank you @Snausages-- I am trying to resist this design in a larger format-- a different kind of multiple that would require a different 3 letter acronym. FEP-- Format Enhancement Program?![]()
It is really lovely in moussie form @Living.la.vida.fifi andon resolution-keeping!
Those are charming and you have the best scarf jewelry @Snausages! My one pup is running me ragged-- don't know how you are still standing with two new fur babies at home!
I just responded to @Snausages that the large format of this is soooo tempting! There's one similar to the blue crooking its finger at me from the web but I am being good...Do you have it in CSGM @Maedi? Would love to see...
Thank you! They are truly different @momasaurus...
Stunning! Good work amplifying the pink in the scarf with your sweater @Coco2606-- I look forward to seeing it with other scarves!
SUch a glorious red!
Well now - you’re one smart and chic cookie!
oh be still my pink lovin’ heart!
Ohmigoodness - fantastic look!
I love this look, it lets the colors shine!![]()
Awww… Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and likes! And, dear @Karenska, I am so sorry that this has happened to you! Falls are so jarring and unsettling! I hope there are no broken bones and that you heal quickly!Dear Scarfies, Not going to be on the thread for a couple of days. I slipped on my stairs and am at the dr for an exam and xray script. You look fantastic! I also love the wash scarves. They seem more casual. It’s very disappointing that they’ve been discontinued, but like you said, hopefully not for forever. This pink Sous L’ Egide de Mars is lovely. My last purchase of 2022 was this Sous L’Egide de Mars wash scarf. I love the feel of the vintage 70s so I had to have one wash scarf before they’re gone (hopefully not forever!).
Not a great pairing with my top today but I was running late. I’d like to pair it next with jewel toned tops to bring out more of those colours in the scarf.

So clever and so cute! You are so creative tying these… and I love the dangly ringWell, I spent the first two days of the year in sweats doing yardwork and playing with the pups so I’m already behind the eight ball in terms of my resolution to wear each scarf 3x! In an effort to make up the lost neck-time, today I donned two Space Derby twillies

Orange is such a great color on you! Love this pairingToday was my orange H-Day! With the intention of wearing the bolder colors from my collection and wearing at least one scarf per day! In the morning I wore my CSGM Balade en Berline which I already showed in December
Later I changed to my first Hermès scarf. The one that started it all
Nuba Mountain with the lion peeking out from the front.

You just beautifully showed the versatility of this amazing silk. It is a stunner!Good morning all. I have another New Year's Resolution which I tried and mostly failed to keep last year. One of my rationales for buying multiples of a loved design is that I look at the scarves as "seasonal" but honestly, that attempt to pigeonhole my scarves is quite limiting. While it may comfort my wallet (and my conscience) to think that each addition is serving a unique purpose, the silks themselves object! So here is my third () cw of Ex Libris en Kimonos which I persuaded myself was a "summer" option. Mostly I wear it casually, like this:

But like @Coco2606, I received a new pink sweater over the holidays and suddenly, I thought I might "winterize" my ELeK. So here is my SOTD in keeping with my new resolve to just wear the scarves and not be so rigid about their "place" in my Scarfdrobe.

All these soft shades of blue are so wonderful on you… I honestly love them allToday I'm reviewing some light blue scarves in my collection. Currently there are four light blue scarves in the rehome pile, which is, of course, subject to change. Two of them, Wedgwood (High Perch) and Hemispaerium Coeli Boreale (neither is pictured), have never seen the light of day. Just didn't like them when they showed up. Two have been shown once, an original issue Les Mineraux and the Aloha Rectangle (a pristine double wide scarf mispriced as a 90, although Aloha did show up a second time thanks to a callout from @LKBNOLA). Peuple du Vent and Le Jardin de Leila are constantly in danger of slipping into the sell pile. I love both designs, just not the light blue versions. The light blue Faubourg Tropical (not to worry, I still have three!) and Chacun fait son nid actually did exit the collection during 2022.

Light blue scarves that are definitely staying in the collection include Duo Cosmique and the Golden Jubilee Regina. Sous les Orangers is a grail that stays until a better colorway comes along, which may be a long, long time, if ever.

A recent resolution that I've made is to try, really try, to send back a scarf during the return period if I have my doubts. I managed to do so with the light blue double face Tigre Royal, shown here during a post-purchase shirt check. I kept the jade version.

The latest light blue scarf to enter my collection, (I knew I shouldn't get light blue, but it was a design I was considering and it was a 90 mispriced as a 45), is Xavier de Poret's boot scarf, A Propos de Bottes. I gave this 1998 release a bath and an ironing, discovered some missing stitches so stitched up the hem in a couple of places, and reattached the care tag that was literally hanging by a thread. (FYI, I had to repair a scarf some time ago and found a seller on etsy who had small hanks of silk thread in many colors for about $20. Now it's on hand and ready to go. Both times I found a perfect color match.)
So, this scarf is ready for its debut today. My fingers are crossed that this light blue wabi-sabi beauty finds a long term home in my heart and my collection.

My Scarf of the Day is A Propos de Bottes. This scarf is so soft, sort of like the muffled sounds outside thanks to our latest snowfall. Shown here with light and dark tops.
