May the force be with you !
Thank you, Coco. The dark side is verrrry strong this trip
I would say "stay strong" but I'd be lying as I would not be able to contain myself and go in for a "look see"...
Back at the airport today to fly up to Chieng Mai for 4 days. One of DH's friends is there. I'll let the desire simmer...
Mr XCS widened his eyes when I declared that I shall drop by the H when we return to Bangkok.
In the interest of H financial prudence  , I will check the local H price and the Thai luxury tax rate before I go. After all, there is yet another H at the airport dutyfree when I depart next week.
Your vacation/trip has an H spell on it, Xincinsin.
Sorcery at play, I tell you
My first thought was "Lucky @xincinsin ". I would definitely do reconnaissance. It's the Scarf Mistresses' duty.
Ha ha... you do have great ideas, Rbh! Yes, it's my responsibility to do so  (Think DH will be convinced?)
Do share what you’re coming home with @xincinsin
:spiderweb:
Hopefully I will stay strong. I've already asked my SA for three SS23 designs and I've got my eye on something at a fave reseller, so I must remember my resolution to buy only what I love and will wear.
Trying to wear a scarf every, and to hopefully remember to take a selfie. This is the challenge for me as I always remember once I’ve already removed the scarf!
So, my SOTD for errands was Pelages et Camouflages moussie

Need to add a resolution - learn how to wear a CSGM as stylishly as you, @Croisette7, @lanit and other scarfies with big formats. That insouciance is simply out of my reach :cray:

Well, I spent the first two days of the year in sweats doing yardwork and playing with the pups so I’m already behind the eight ball in terms of my resolution to wear each scarf 3x! In an effort to make up the lost neck-time, today I donned two Space Derby twillies

Beautiful twillies and I am in awe of you doing yardwork in January.

Thank you very much for your enthusiastic comments about the pink/blue combo. So, for the first time, I start the year with a "positive balance" of 580€. Maths H. I will reconsider the new collection and continue. This being said,
- I haven't yet found an equivalent for the Carnival of the Animals in turquoise (the photos on the website are awful, I can't find @Redbirdhermes s' ones)
- I'm dying to find La légende de l'arbre in purple and turquoise
- since I saw @laurenad 's post, I'd love a Cosmo in the same colour.
Damned

Wow so many beautiful posts since late last night! I am heading out to do errands in my personal favorite Tresors d'un Artiste. I have collected two of this design (second one below mod shot) and thought of culling to one but as was pointed out with @Redbirdhermes' two very different cws, each has its place in my "Scarfdrobe"-- a wonderful new portmanteau word coined by a darling scarfie friend!

These are both fabulous CWs. Yes, well done to keep!

Resolution 4: La vie en rose.
H-scarves bring me great joy. And I'm not going to explain why on a forum like this. 2022 has been difficult in many ways, but the few minutes I've taken each day to choose a scarf have been a little comfort I couldn't have done without.
Yes, I admit, I have more pink scarves than I need. I think I'm not the only one here. And I don't intend to stop there with this colour and its variations. It's always very comforting and soft. Why deprive yourself?
I have to say that when I found this jumper, I fell in love with it immediately! See you later this year for the different options!

Dear scarfies, my resolve is being tested. Yours truly flew to Bangkok today. I brought only one scarf with me as this is not a scarf-friendly trip. I valiantly walked past the H at Changi Airport Terminal 2 and pretended that I didn't see it. Then I checked into my Bangkok hotel, looked out of my 17th Floor hotel room ... And I spy the H boutique across the road (face-palm).
We will send you our wish lists, LOL.

And - I'm taking you to task here :hugs: - never feel guilty about something you love. I don't look at the cost, I never say 'OHMYGOSH I just paid so much for this piece of silk!', because it's not 'just a piece of silk'* - it is Art, it is Beauty, it is a silken barrier between you and our sometimes unfriendly world, a beautiful touchstone. I rarely wear necklaces because I wear a scarf - it *is* my jewelry (and frankly one heck of a lot less than jewelry) and I never feel guilty about them.

*on the other hand - it is just a piece of silk - so wear them with love!
Cookie dear, this is going up on my bathroom mirror!

Happy New Year Scarfies! Thank you for the articulate posts of resolutions and lessons learned on our little thread and saluting all our current and past scarves mistresses for keeping our thread lively and interesting!

As my silk collection has reached a point of no more space in the tansu, I am definitely in that period of life of editing to as few scarves and shawls as possible. Last season I received only one very special silk and it was more expensive being a marble silk. I truly thought I could stay on my 90 ban forever but broke that resolution since the process of the marble silk and its design captured my heart.

So, to aid in this process, I go through my edits with the hope that rehoming them so that these beautiful scarves can be worn and appreciated by others as well as my letting go of things that I just can’t seem to wear due to current lifestyle changes. There are a number of designs that still take my breath away just looking at them, but the majority seem to be languishing in their boxes or shelves. that is the bigger battle for my heart.

Wearing what I have is my simple resolution as well as letting go. The new year is a time to refresh, renew and to pare down my life in general! I’m excited to leap into these goals immediately! Wishing you all great success, good health and scarf happiness for 2023!

It‘s interesting to read that even you have scarfs you intend to rehome because I always thought of your collection as a very coherent and - for the lack of a better word - „personal“ one as opposed to an encyclopedic one. I still remember that you posted photos of two very elusive mousselines I‘ve never been able to find myself: a pastel „Ceintures et Liens“ and an orange/red/yellow „Dans un Jardin Anglais“. I‘m sure your collection is great and full of rare treasures I‘d never be able to part with myself.

Hello my dear scarf friends! I am thrilled by the great photos and information and enjoy the thread now already to the fullest.
Unfortunately, I was sick the last few days and have already missed the connection a little, but could start today with my color scheme problem scarves.

I don't have that many grand scarves (I'm terribly embarrassed, but for the life of me I can't remember it CGSM GSCM GSCM....) - And compared to you, of course, ridiculously few 90 cm scarves. I think the silk scarves suit me better because they have a bit of a sheen to them, the muted one of the CSGM GSCM - you know what I mean - doesn't suit me as well in my opinion.

So for now. let's have a look at the grand carres I own and the problems I have with some of them.

Apologies for the pictures, I'm not feeling particularly well yet, and I'm pretty unphotogenic unfortunately. AND I gained a lot of weight. I personally think, that I need a slimmer face to make the scarves look good, so some pictures are from those glory times when I ate properly and went to the gym on a regular basis......

Let's start with the scarf I've been dying to get: Large Triangle Sweet dreams in shades of green. I find it a little bit "dull" on me, althoug I really LOVE the desing and am a true Baijtlik- fan:

Let's move on to my problem scarf: Mytiques Phoenix in orange / blue.
The scarf has sentimental value for me. I bought it when I realized that I need to get away from certain people to be happy. So the scarf was an anticipated symbol of success, so to speak - and I wear it with pride today. The Birkin, which I requested at the same time, I still do not have, however.

That the colors do not look good on me I was aware at the time, but unfortunately not how bad they look..... I combine the scarf with earrings that were dirt cheap (8 euros?), but match the design perfectly - hopefully they never break

let's move on to Sweat Dream men's scarf- I wear it really seldom although I fought for it SO hard at the boutique. Perhaps that memory is attached to the scarf.. Sadly because I utterly love the design. And the typo "sweat dreams" Lord, I had to sweat for it... I took the foto today, you can clearly see that I am still sick and gained a ton! I am sorry for the ugly pic:sad:

Now let's have a look at my two most loved carres in big sizes:

Firstly: Fantasie indiennes. Initially bough to hang it on the wall but I loved it so much, that I decided to wear it. It came to me to Stockholm, to Rome, to Nizza, to Paris, to Vienna, to Triest and literally everywhere. That said I am still fighting with the yellow parts in it.

and the last one in my small collection of bigger formats: la danse des Amazones. I figured out that the orange blue colorscheme of my Phoenix doesn't work so good for me, so I searched for a design I liked in red- tones. Initially I wanted to purchase Bingata, but didn't like it on me and fell in love with the little wise owl on it. Sadly I pulled a string at exactly that element of the carre with my morganite ring I purchased to wear it together with the scarf.

Thanks for reading my long long post!!!

Thank you for your interesting observations and statements.
Apart from the fact that I think your face is really - truly - beautiful :girlsigh:
(I know, we women are often very critical of ourselves - think of a man - big big belly - a paunch! - in front of the mirror - and what does he say???: Oh, not so bad, not bad at all ...!!! :coolio::giggle:),
I can absolutely understand your assessment:
Here are my 2 cents:
I love the Amazones on you - can look graceful and classy and sporty.
The Indiennes is beautiful - but IMPO definitely needs lipstick and make-up - then it looks classy.
Sweet dreams - if I had advised you as a friend shopping with you - I'd recommended to think it over very very very much and - and sleep on it, at least one night - as a closest/best friend I would have allowed myself to say to really try different colours. The same with the Phoenix in this colour ...

However, only my personal taste. Luckily there is no "right or wrong" - only different perceptions and different tastes. Enjoy your scarves and good luck with your decisions - sigh - so challenging!

Today was my orange H-Day! With the intention of wearing the bolder colors from my collection and wearing at least one scarf per day! In the morning I wore my CSGM Balade en Berline which I already showed in December
Later I changed to my first Hermès scarf. The one that started it all
Nuba Mountain with the lion peeking out from the front.
And wearing my orange Clic  CEC40BCA-ED0F-4F01-9951-129CE66F54A4.jpegDC0379C7-0490-4933-AB68-26BBCD1B8D36.jpeg
