You deserve a medal! I don’t understand the abbreviations but will google them. How dear to see Frieda’s brothers. Your new CSGT is amazing, especially with the pink and soufre, a color I love.

Yes- I am a sucker for the Jaune Soufre too. :) (TNR is trap neuter release)

Off to a zoom baby shower (a boy - blue) on this rainy evening in my cozy Acte III.

That is such a rich blue. Love it on you!

Hello, everyone. I am just back from the beautiful exhibit "Fashioned by Sargent" at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. I could have spent many more hours there just taking in the beauty and detail of the portraiture, garments, ornaments and the wonderful anecdotes accompanying many of the iconic works we know, such as Madame X. I fell in love with a piece that was previously unknown to me and, as it perfectly suits our theme, I made us a little collage of this intriguing painting titled "Cashmere." I included the description and also a photo of the shawl worn in the painting. I hope you enjoy this little souvenir of my delightful day!

Great combo
Remaining positive, hope to see your gorgeous GM irl.
What a vibrant scarf this is on you, especially paired with that turquoise jumper. I love it. Congrats on your new-in!
It is splendid. I think I will wear mine today, too.
Thank you all so much! @orchard, toes and fingers crossed for you; @GloWW0rM, it is perhaps vibrant in a way that is different from my usual choices but I have fallen for it! I am happy you think it likes me back :winkiss: and @Maedi-- I can't wait to see all the ways you pair it, dear twin!

Lovely @Awillow! And as @Cookiefiend said, it is so nice to see you posting again...
One of my favorite CSGM, L'Epopee with its very pretty light blue background sprinkled with vibrant emerald green and soft rosy pink accents and so many lovely little details tracing the history of H.

L'Epopee d%22Hermes 5.jpg
Love the pink hem, LKBNOLA!
Today a full day at work, but at home not too late. SOTD is one of the 2 giant triangles I own, not my most favourite format - I prefer a “full” CSGM. But the design, Bal de soie, is adorable. One of the masks pictures an organ - we listened to a fabulous organist (playing this organ) at the Christmas midnight mass.

I love a good organ concert @Agrume and I love your Bal de Soie-- we are twins! I do love the format even though I am now firmly in love also with its bigger (double!) sisters. Bal de Soie in this cw was my most worn GT and it was a phenomenally useful piece during my early fall trip to Portugal. The GTs are so easy to wear and pack...
How beautiful and your matching nail polish is so pretty @Croisette7!
TY @LKBNOLA and that shawl is truly magical! Love the way your top pulls out the blues in this!
I have 2 cashmere GTs (no giant silk GTs perhaps this needs to be rectified ) - I find them more difficult to knot vs a straight 140 but it always works out

It makes no sense but somehow a GT just feels like, well, a triangle which I rarely do with any size. I could do the bias on the GT but then it feels so loooong. :shrugs: Will try to play a bit the next time I get dressed in something other than sweats 😎

And to keep things on topic I could try one of these knots

Woefully behind, please accept my apologies!
@Agrume what a great intro and I loved your last post with Bal de Soie - that organ must be extraordinary to hear.

I’m barely poking my head out of the Christmas Palooza that happened at my house… who knew I had so many plates, platters, wine glasses, gewgaws and doo-dads in my house?
And I still had to take the car in for service!

So today, I’m getting a break - cuz I’m at the office … which has had its own lolapalooza - but I am capable and I’m wearing a losange (extra absorbent to wipe way tears of frustration - stoopid cable company) with bright PINK polka dots.
Do polka dots fix everything?

Last week was an amazing display of silk and jewels! Special thanks to @Living.la.vida.fifi @Redbirdhermes @LKBNOLA for some gorgeous combos!

A couple of you asked me about the new knot I have been embracing.

You have to fold the scarf in triangles twice, then add a scarf ring to one end and tie the ends behind your neck (I like to use a small scarf "ring" for that.)

Photos below for a visual step by step... a bit dark and fuzzy but I hope you can see the steps!

Happy holidays to all!

Thank you for your kind words! I have been enjoying all the pretty pictures before bed at night. Thank you everyone!
All beauriful CWs of Le Jaguar et Le Colibri, and the design itself, makes it my favourite of the season. Your CW, however, is my personal best, SilkCouture, so double congrats! And - although it goes without saying - you look stunning in it, these are your colours

 Always happy to oblige....ermmm....I mean, so sorry I did that to you! You tame the pareos like a true master Snausages. They are a great compromise down here in the deep south. And thank you for the cashmere love. :flowers:

It really does work and looks fab with that sweater. I think it is the navy and bronze accenting that make it a bold, but very wearable and versatile choice. Congrats on it!

A beautiful sentiment yuzulife, and a fabulous scarf! Beautifully tied for the week.

SC- this is fantastic on you!! Congrats on it!

Beautifully cozy HE!

Thank you Agrume! And thank you for hosting this week!

That is such a stunning deep colorway of this design. So painterly.
CongratulationsSilkCouture! Just wonderful on you!
Oh, congratulations @SilkCouture-- what a lovely choice. So interesting how the design changes with the respective colors! This is lovely on you. And I lost the quote but your red Selle Imaginaire was seasonally perfect also!

Wonderful new-in @Lellabelle - it’s amazing how just the right shade/tone of a color makes all the difference.

Fabulous knot @yuzulife - would love a tut!

Beautiful shawl @SilkCouture - like stained glass!

Gorgeous look @HermesEchidna - love the double strands of beads picking up the fun border

TY for the compliment @Marta_K and that Pirouette is stunning

😂 @bunnycat you are my cotton muse

TY for the lovely words @LKBNOLA and wow what elegant looks! I’ve not yet dipped my toes into the losange waters but the way you’ve worn the Pirouette is pushing me closer to the edge

TYSM @Croisette7 and your colors here are breathtaking! Love the CdC with this!

Brrrrr @Solday Hopefully that’s Celsius (but still cold!) but you’ve got a beauty to keep you cozy

Happy Holidays scarflandia! I've been so busy with work and holiday guests that all I've been able to do is keep up with your wonderful posts and mod shots. I think I've worn out the Like/Love buttons! :hbeat: Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the past couple of weeks - your examples are inspiring and so appreciated!

A very special thank you to @Living.la.vida.fifi for being such a wonderful host last week, your jewelry and scarf pairings are extraordinary.

And a very special thank you to @Agrume for being our fabulous guide this week. A week I've been waiting for because my collecting goal for 2023 was to try out CSGMs - a new to me size and format.

I'm thrilled to show you the lovely shawl I found under my holiday tree, compliments of DH (who picked it out all by himself!) - my Clair de Lune Shawl in noir/blanc. I know you've seen it before (and I'm twins and sisters with many of you), but I'm so happy I'd like to share it again. Here are a couple quick pics of my new Christmas scarf:

Does anybody know what kind of scarf this is and why it is so expensive? Is this a ‘moussie’ some of you refer to?

I find it stunning but unsure about price tag and durability?

In US also available in stunning yellow

View attachment 5918382
It’s a mousseline. They are a lot more durable when one thinks, but I am not enthused about that price tag. I think they are hand dyed with a special technique, plus they have a small embroidery, which adds to the price. These types of scarves have been done before with think cashmere (although those were made in Nepal, I believe). If you google ‘Hermes ombré scarf,’ you will see some examples on the resale market.
