Hello, Scarfies. I had Other Plans for my SOTD but am finding myself in for a day of medical follow ups which is never any fun  At least it will be a bit more bearable as I am wearing a reliable "comfort cashmere"-- my beloved Awooooo. This dear old thing has seen salt spray and sand, rain and wind, its been forgotten on the floor of the car and hastily bunched into a tote bag and still it shines. We mentioned "couch" shawls before and this go-to 100cm may qualify as my most worn cashmere ever. And who doesn't like feeling like her wolf daemon familiar is on the job and ready to howl?

As soon as I can access some internet I will circle back and admire all the day's scarf offerings and mod shots...

Good luck with the follow ups, definitely never any fun. :sad:Glad you've got Awooooo for company, you both look comfy and warm.

Morning Scarflandia,

I haven’t been sharing much this week as I haven’t taken many scarfselfies and then it was raining and yucky for two days. Today I am going to be back at it with a multi-scarf day if I can manage it. This morning’s choice is Douze Leopards, which is a treasure, but then I feel that way about all 4 of my CSGMs lol. Hoping for more sunny skies later today, as I’m going to metro into the city and pick up a new watch!!! Very exciting. And have some scarfmail to share later.

Rushing out the door to help preparing for traditional family x-mas all-Day lunch at my Mother-in-law’s. Pickeled herring and schnaps and assortment of pork-related foodstuff will be plentiful, so I will not need a warm scarf, but will try to stay cool with my new Colliers de chiens. Tomorrow will be a Day of recovery..:drinks:

Oh, boy, your xmas lunch sounds good - pickled herring, pork, schnapps... The scarf is beautiful btw - perfect black and white combo. As classy as it gets.

Beautiful, Croisette! Do you know what year is your edition of Grands Fonds? A friend of mine has the same bordeless edition in light green, and I just got one with the border - am trying to figure out which edition/issue it is for my files. I know that there were two issues - one in the 90s and another in 2001, am trying to figure out which one is which... :) Thank you!

You look lovely for your follow up appointments ☺️!!!

We’ve had extremely warm temperatures over Christmas and this week, so far. Today, it was a sunny 75F/26C so definitely not a cashmere in sight, so I decided to recap my recent shawl outings in cooler weather and to attend the theater/concerts/ballet…
Below, my December CSGM looks beginning with Early America, which I wore to a Christmas Eve matinee of The Nutcracker ballet.

Hi scarfies! Dropping in to say hello, well wrapped up against December winds with Libre Comme Pégase 140. I do like what Hermès had to say about this one:
Ce cheval aérien, c'est Pégase bien sûr, qui déploie son désir de liberté et de protection, emportant avec lui tous les mythes qui habitent nos rêves d'enfants. Et la nuit, il devient constellation, comme le veut la légende.
Translated: This aerial horse, it's Pegasus of course, who here deploys his wish for freedom and protection, bringing with him all the myths that live in the dreams of children. And at night, he becomes a constellation, according to legend.

<le sigh>
I sigh for two reasons - 1) Beautiful CSGTs - I love your Folklore! 2) I have somehow deleted part of your post… I’d say it’s just normal fumble fingers but I am going to blame it on my new ipad.

Sending heartfelt thanks for all the kind words about yesterday’s scarf! :hugs:

Magnificent 12 Leopards @Snausages - twins with you! And I love wearing it with burgundy too.
Delighted to be twins @EtsyBoss - it looks fabulous on you! I’m starting to think I need a turquoise sweater for this as well

Gorgeous shawl @Awillow and a fun occasion to wear it!
Hello, everyone. I am just back from the beautiful exhibit "Fashioned by Sargent" at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. I could have spent many more hours there just taking in the beauty and detail of the portraiture, garments, ornaments and the wonderful anecdotes accompanying many of the iconic works we know, such as Madame X. I fell in love with a piece that was previously unknown to me and, as it perfectly suits our theme, I made us a little collage of this intriguing painting titled "Cashmere." I included the description and also a photo of the shawl worn in the painting. I hope you enjoy this little souvenir of my delightful day!

Thank you all so much! @orchard, toes and fingers crossed for you; @GloWW0rM, it is perhaps vibrant in a way that is different from my usual choices but I have fallen for it! I am happy you think it likes me back :winkiss: and @Maedi-- I can't wait to see all the ways you pair it, dear twin!

Lovely @Awillow! And as @Cookiefiend said, it is so nice to see you posting again...

I love this one, too @EtsyBoss-- I share custody with my DD -- she loves the details, too and I love the pretty blue and the green "checked" border, so unexpected and fun. Here's ours, waving hello

I love a good organ concert @Agrume and I love your Bal de Soie-- we are twins! I do love the format even though I am now firmly in love also with its bigger (double!) sisters. Bal de Soie in this cw was my most worn GT and it was a phenomenally useful piece during my early fall trip to Portugal. The GTs are so easy to wear and pack...

How beautiful and your matching nail polish is so pretty @Croisette7!

Your GTs are fabulous (and you know I confess that I ordered the magnets @Snausages, you influencer, you!). I love your cw of 12 Leopards CSGM and I'm amazed by the braid tie on Clic Clac!!! Than you also for the Jaguar and Hummingbird love...

You may be Having a Day but your outfit is ruling the situation, for sure! Polka dots to the rescue @Cookiefiend! They can charm any palooza into submission...

Congratulations @Redbirdhermes! What a serendipitous pairing between your GT and your new Precious Paradise. And I am so happy that you scored the cw that you hoped for-- it is perfect. Can't wait to see other ties...

TY @Living.la.vida.fifi and my word you have the most amazing shawls and jewelry combos!
Happy Holidays scarflandia! I've been so busy with work and holiday guests that all I've been able to do is keep up with your wonderful posts and mod shots. I think I've worn out the Like/Love buttons! :hbeat: Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the past couple of weeks - your examples are inspiring and so appreciated!

A very special thank you to @Living.la.vida.fifi for being such a wonderful host last week, your jewelry and scarf pairings are extraordinary.

And a very special thank you to @Agrume for being our fabulous guide this week. A week I've been waiting for because my collecting goal for 2023 was to try out CSGMs - a new to me size and format.

I'm thrilled to show you the lovely shawl I found under my holiday tree, compliments of DH (who picked it out all by himself!) - my Clair de Lune Shawl in noir/blanc. I know you've seen it before (and I'm twins and sisters with many of you), but I'm so happy I'd like to share it again. Here are a couple quick pics of my new Christmas scarf:
