Today, I'm thrilled to share my Retour a la Nature CSGM with everyone. I'm currently visiting a town where the weather is just perfect for wearing my CSGMs daily. I've paired it with a Double D scarf ring in Permabrass, which I've found to be the ideal size for shawls.

Hello, Scarfies. I had Other Plans for my SOTD but am finding myself in for a day of medical follow ups which is never any fun At least it will be a bit more bearable as I am wearing a reliable "comfort cashmere"-- my beloved Awooooo. This dear old thing has seen salt spray and sand, rain and wind, its been forgotten on the floor of the car and hastily bunched into a tote bag and still it shines. We mentioned "couch" shawls before and this go-to 100cm may qualify as my most worn cashmere ever. And who doesn't like feeling like her wolf daemon familiar is on the job and ready to howl?

I have been taking advantage of our mild fall and winter weather to wear these scarves during my daily walks. Brides et Destin went with me on a recent walk, but I have yet to introduce it as my scarf of the day. Time to fix that.

Ashanti, I have no clue ... it's a 2ndhand purchase appr. 10 years ago. The light green sounds beautiful btw.

Yes, the green is the same shade H used in many cashmeres of that era (I have Ashanti edition in the same). Thank you for getting back to me - my quest to find the dates continues!!

Yup! Just feed them through from opposite directions. It should lie flat.

There are lots of different sizes and materials for scarf rings. I have a mother of pearl one which is light, and holds the silk well.

Time to show off scarfmail!!! This one is all @SilkCouture ’s fault - I ran across this Voyages en Etoiffe on TRR and was hypnotized by the colors. And then I remembered that SC had shared this during weather/storm theme week by likening it to an erupting volcano - genius!

It was not under the tree, but is more or less a Christmas gift to myself. Arrived last night and I LOVE IT. Thanks for letting me share!

It makes no sense but somehow a GT just feels like, well, a triangle which I rarely do with any size. I could do the bias on the GT but then it feels so loooong. Will try to play a bit the next time I get dressed in something other than sweats 😎

Hello, everyone. I am just back from the beautiful exhibit "Fashioned by Sargent" at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. I could have spent many more hours there just taking in the beauty and detail of the portraiture, garments, ornaments and the wonderful anecdotes accompanying many of the iconic works we know, such as Madame X. I fell in love with a piece that was previously unknown to me and, as it perfectly suits our theme, I made us a little collage of this intriguing painting titled "Cashmere." I included the description and also a photo of the shawl worn in the painting. I hope you enjoy this little souvenir of my delightful day!

I love a good organ concert @Agrume and I love your Bal de Soie-- we are twins! I do love the format even though I am now firmly in love also with its bigger (double!) sisters. Bal de Soie in this cw was my most worn GT and it was a phenomenally useful piece during my early fall trip to Portugal. The GTs are so easy to wear and pack...

I am a huge fan of polka dots and there is not a polka dotted scarf that I didn’t like… especially pink!


This is a match made in heaven! So harmonious together! Precious Paradise is actually the only design from SS24 that is calling me and my fav CWs are yours and the khaki so I am so glad to actually see it in action! It is a delightful design!

I'm thrilled to show you the lovely shawl I found under my holiday tree, compliments of DH (who picked it out all by himself!) - my Clair de Lune Shawl in noir/blanc. It’s a mousseline. They are a lot more durable when one thinks, but I am not enthused about that price tag. I think they are hand dyed with a special technique, plus they have a small embroidery, which adds to the price. These types of scarves have been done before with think cashmere (although those were made in Nepal, I believe). If you google ‘Hermes ombré scarf,’ you will see some examples on the resale market.

Pickeled herring and schnaps and assortment of pork-related foodstuff will be plentiful, so I will not need a warm scarf, but will try to stay cool with my new Colliers de chiens. I haven’t been sharing much this week as I haven’t taken many scarfselfies and then it was raining and yucky for two days. Today I am going to be back at it with a multi-scarf day if I can manage it. This morning’s choice is Douze Leopards, which is a treasure, but then I feel that way about all 4 of my CSGMs lol. Hoping for more sunny skies later today, as I’m going to metro into the city and pick up a new watch!!! Very exciting. And have some scarfmail to share later.

One more day at work, and then a week off. SOTD was the smallest format I am aware of in cashmere (comes in handy for wearing under a white coat, which is impossible for the CSGMs). Astres et soleils, a lucky find (and the clochette scarf ring feels just right for this time of the year). 🔔
