My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

I so enjoy your scarves each day, Croisette. And, I delight in seeing how you take it to the next level with your clothing and jewelry. The blue theater mask is wonderful with this scarf. Thank you for sharing your collection.
Thank you so much for your wonderful compliment, RBH ... I enjoy your daily treasures, your jewelry and your nice smile too!

I managed to get several wishlist items this year, including 2 Jardin sur le toit gavroches (one new, one from the older issue), les Amoureux de Paris gavroche, a Brandebourg (you recently saw my purple dipdye), the black Vie du Grand Nord, and the Maison des Oiseaux Parleurs that both @scarf1 and @Cookiefiend own.View attachment 4942543View attachment 4942544View attachment 4942545View attachment 4942546
Sorry these will not load in the proper order.
I am such a fan of your collection of classics (like you I prefer the older style designs) *and* the understated way you tie them! The double wrap (French twist I think some call it?) is my "go to" style for my embarrassingly modest number of H 90s, I like to think I am channeling at least a little of your style!

For the last day of Oscarf week, my first purchase in 2020, and my most worn scarf of the year.
I think this design is extraordinary! ❤️

Lastly, while last year was a dumpster fire, 2021 will let us put that mess behind us. Like the Mythiques Phoenix, we will pick ourselves up, brush ourselves off, and set off into a new year... and a new thread!
Cheers darlings!

For this last day of Oscarf week I called on my rusty spreadsheet sorting skills, and determined that artist whose scarves I wore the most during 2020. I was not surprised to see Annie Faivre and Phillippe Ledoux in double figures. However, the winner undoubtedly reflects an effort I made late in the year to collect more of her earlier issues. I find her use of color and design most pleasing.

The Award for the Most Frequently Worn Artist goes to Alice Shirley. Representing her scarves in accepting the Oscarf is my recently acquired Tyger, Tyger.

Oh this one is gorgeous on you!

Last post of 2020.
reflecting over 2020, I only bought 8 scarves this year, which is a lowest number for me.
I bought the patchwork horse CSGM in the boutique in January, but all other purchases this year were made on line since I have not stepped foot in any store since midMarch.
this years additions included:
1. 2 scarves from Ss2020 CSGM patchwork horse and les artisans 90
2. 2 scarves from FW2020 : Exposition Universelle 90 and les promenades de paris 70
3. moussie Losange from h.com (2019 design)
4. 3 scarves from resellers: la legende des poisson corail 90, j’aime mon carre 70 and Aloha PM mousseline.
these had all been on my wishlist for some time.

I did make an effort to wear my scarves often even though just hanging out at home. I did find myself reaching for 90 twill and 70 s more during this pandemic than in past years. I also wore my 2 cotton scarves a lot. i did wear my moussies less this year, but hope by this summer I will feel comfortable going out more often and they will get worn again.

I think I have already featured most of this years purchases, so I will end with the last few I don’t think I have shown yet.
