My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Beautiful choice for all around Langsam!
It suits you so well, Langsam! That cute owl!
These are killer knots - all so different!!!!
such a versatile scarf!
SO GLAD you kept! You tie it beautifully and it looks very versatile  (that very cute owl looks like it approves of your wise decision):smartass:
An excellent choice, I love the reds and greens... especially the greens!
It is truly fabulous, and looks amazing on you, no matter the knot and how you style it... So happy it stayed with you
Such a beauty! Tied perfectly to showcase much of the variety snd beauty of the design.
Wonderful job of pairing this colorway brilliantly! I love it with the gray!. All the colors just pop.
Thank you all for your kind comments and likes! Happy New Year!

My green contenders again.....
Appaloosa des Steppes CSGM - I paired this green with my ivory polka dotted dress one morning while rushing out the door. Luckily it worked!

Parures de Samouraïs - A light grey sweater pulls out the soft greys in the colorway.
View attachment 4944045

Le Jardin de la Maharani - This was perfect with a fuchsia sweater. I love this Juane Anis/Vert combination.
View attachment 4944047

Au Pays des Oiseaux Fleurs - My dark charcoal turtleneck worked better than black with this.
View attachment 4944053

Sieste au Paradis - I was lucky to own a sweater that matched the contrast hem and it really worked well.

Drum Roll.....the WINNER is H en Voyage
I picked this colorway because it paired so well with my Madame Cuir gavoche which is tucked around my neck underneath.

I love them all, but H en V would be my choice, too, MAGJES. I especially love the idea of pairing two scarves; I just haven’t had the creative inspiration! Brava!! I agree, that green cw of Au Pays des Oiseaux Fleurs look fabulous with charcoal and I love your polka dots with Appaloosa.

Thank you, and I’m thrilled to be your twin! ❤

LOVELY - I also love green... this are just marvelous!

Thank you! I did the same, just kinda thought - eh... there’s a lot to like but, I dunno.
Until that fateful day!

It will be my pleasure! I have to wait until I have some sunlight tho... it’s snowing/sleeting and raining right now! ❤

❤❤❤

Such a darling scarf! I’m hoping to see this IRL.. it’s been on the site recently and I’ve been tempted!

I love the red in it, and was thrilled to find it at a reasonable price - definitely a keeper!
Is it @Croisette7 or @Julide?

Mmmmmmmarvelous! ❤
Is HenV a PM? :faint:
It was lala.

Winner of the Oscarfsring is definitely the LMH in swift, GM! ❤ Whatever did I do without it...? It is a good one also for the exceptional scarfs, because these are a bit more difficult to tie and the scarfring is light and soft. Wore this yesterday:

this is gorgeous, Sammy! Love those little pearls - and also your pullover.

Thank you kindly!

This is delicious in this scale and format!

Jacquards are always special! Lovely on you!

Really stunning Croisette!

This is a real beauty Sammy! I have admired this DC from afar for awhile. And a scarf ring that opens to enclose instead of sliding over, is definitely the right way to go!
thank you, Bunnycat!

❤ thank you sweetheart! ❤

ohmigoodnes! How did I miss this cw! I love the purple! ❤

Congratulations!

Thank you Fifi! :hugs:

This is lovely! Okay... I do need one! :faint:

well I’ll be... I would have never guessed that! Thank you!

Thank you sweetheart! :hugs:
thank you, Cookie!

Best New Format - Giant Triangle and GTCS. Now I acquired my first GT in Nov 2019, Kachinas in fuscia, lemon yellow, navy and periwinkle: :hbeat:
View attachment 4943515
but significantly upped the ante by purchasing three more in 2020: Kachinas in spectacular summer colors :faint:, mini BdG in vermillion and marine bleu , and the surprisingly now-esssential Encadre GTCS in chocolat and blanc with rosy hem :hbeat:.

Beautiful scarf and ring!

Happy New Year to my scarfie friends!

During 2020 I collected a number of scarves in new condition and some have not yet been worn. One of my New Year's resolutions is to actually wear these beauties and not just store them. I'm starting out 2021 by introducing what I think is the happiest of my new scarves.

The Oscarf for the Happiest New scarf goes to L'arbre du Vent.
