My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Happy New Year to my scarfie friends!

During 2020 I collected a number of scarves in new condition and some have not yet been worn. One of my New Year's resolutions is to actually wear these beauties and not just store them. I'm starting out 2021 by introducing what I think is the happiest of my new scarves.

The Oscarf for the Happiest New scarf goes to L'arbre du Vent.

So pretty!

Before I head off on a mad search for my La Comedie, I’ll post my winner for today.
Today’s Oscarf is one that Gobsmacked me.
There I was innocently scrolling through EvilBay, eating a few cookies - when BAM.
I picked myself up from the floor, looked again, and marched my fingers to H.com - where I had read some of last season’s scarves had shown up again...
And there it was, pristine and in all its glory. I have never hit Buy so fast, I think I may have given my CC a rug burn I whipped it out so fast.

I just love the b/w gingham

Love the Saumur!
TY :hbeat: -she is a lovely lady

This year I purchased several cashmere silks in various green shades. Finding the right top for each has been a real stumper for me......
These are the contenders for my Oscarf category of “My Most challenging Green Scarf”
Stay tuned for the winner!
(Did I mention I love green!?!)

These are gorgeous!; I’m loving green lately. When in doubt I wear white & it works out to be a great canvas.

Oooh this is a great ELeK. Who was the person who had 8 or 12 (or all) of the colorways? Several years ago.

I especially love your Minuit au F and it looks great with stripes. I'll have to admit that I admire your ability to send the silks OUT the door. I try but seem to chnage my mind when I take pictures to list. I end up loving them again.

Red/blue pairings always look so good on blondes. This is the perfect colorway for you.

Wonderful job of pairing this colorway brilliantly! I love it with the gray!. All the colors just pop.
That has happened to me as well when taking pictures to sell a scarf. Ah....

All lovely, Moma. Sisters with Promenade de Paris and I wrestled with not getting the you have. It so rich. Marvelous, all.
I was so frustrated with not seeing the black and blue versions IRL that I switched interest to this. The caramel colors from the season were all so great (and it's not one of my good colors) I kind of wanted a souvenir in caramel.
Somehow your posts get lost ... you look gorgeous, dear moma, love esp. the Toucans!
Thanks! I bought a lot of white scarves this year.
I love the older Jardin sur le toit gav! That hem! Twins with you on the newer black one!
Beauuuutiful black Vie du Grand Nord!

I also own this colorway of Maison des Oiseaux Parleurs. I love the way you have tied this.
Thank you. We are so often twins, aren't we?

Lovely pairings with this colorway. I fell in love with this same scarf as soon as I saw it. Twins!
These are all fabulous, magjes. I especially love your sieste!!!
Thank you Awillow. It was on my wish list forever.
:hugs:thank you, dear Magjes, and Happy New Year. And responding to an earlier statement of yours regarding Les Bassetts, yes, we are twins for many scarves. I think you may be my most frequent twin! Re Les Bassetts, I have put it away to look at it a couple of days on. then I'll decide.
This is a good idea to revisit at a later time. MaiTai has some lovely mod shots of this colorway on her blog that might give you ideas and help you to decide.
Ohm your Appaloosa is TDF :faint: :. I love your Au Pays des Oiseaux; I have admired that cw for a long time, but I do see how it could be challenging to pair. But... not :winkiss:! The whole haul is faaaabbb. Congratulations and can't wait to see the WINNER!!!
Thank you Karenska. My phone was dying and had to delay presenting the award.
That sieste is a stunning shade of green!
THanks Lauren!
Thank you so much, dear MAGIES! :flowers: Your green CSGMs are soo beautiful! Great choices!!
Thank you Sammy Royal!
Fabulous, MAGJES ... twin on Samouraïs.
Love being twins with you!
beautiful green in this one. Is the border black or navy?

definitely a happy scarf! And you found it NWT! I have this design / CW in the CSGM but it reads brighter in the silk twill.

that sarasa design is one I just scrolled over when seeing the pix of it flat, but boy does it tie beautifully!

h doesn’t seem to do greens as often as red, orange and blue. My favs are your oiseaux and sieste.
Thanks Scarf1!

My green contenders again.....
Appaloosa des Steppes CSGM - I paired this green with my ivory polka dotted dress one morning while rushing out the door. Luckily it worked!

Parures de Samouraïs - A light grey sweater pulls out the soft greys in the colorway.

Le Jardin de la Maharani - This was perfect with a fuchsia sweater. I love this Juane Anis/Vert combination.

Au Pays des Oiseaux Fleurs - My dark charcoal turtleneck worked better than black with this.

Sieste au Paradis - I was lucky to own a sweater that matched the contrast hem and it really worked well.

Drum Roll.....the WINNER is H en Voyage
I picked this colorway because it paired so well with my Madame Cuir gavoche which is tucked around my neck underneath.

Wow! What a great match between the H en Voyage and that adorable gavoche. Thanks for the eye candy. I adore your greens.

L’Art du Sarasa was made for you! I am happy to be twins on both of these beauties!
Thank you, and I’m thrilled to be your twin! ❤️

Thank you! I did the same, just kinda thought - eh... there’s a lot to like but, I dunno.
Until that fateful day!
Dear Cookie,
could you please post your jacquard treasures in „Hidden treasures“?
It will be my pleasure! I have to wait until I have some sunlight tho... it’s snowing/sleeting and raining right now! ❤️
Oh, don‘t tell me that there is even more to come?! Dear @Cookiefiend, yes, yes, please do!!:hbeat:
❤️❤️❤️

Such a darling scarf! I’m hoping to see this IRL.. it’s been on the site recently and I’ve been tempted!
Oooh this is a great ELeK. Who was the person who had 8 or 12 (or all) of the colorways? Several years ago.
I love the red in it, and was thrilled to find it at a reasonable price - definitely a keeper!
Is it @Croisette7 or @Julide?
