Thank you, dear @Cookiefiend! I actually just purchased a couple of Hermes scarves at a luxury garage sale event sponsored by my friend’s neighbor. She only had 2 Hermes for sale, but I also purchased a spectacular Gucci vintage scarf and 2 beautiful museum scarves as well. Maybe I’ll post about these 2 Hermes finds and my real SOTDs this week, but, it actually feels good to sit back, relax and enjoy all the beauties on parade this week!

25 Mar 2018 SUPER SOFT ME: Vintage 70s and Dip Dyes

Some years H scarves have too much sizing,
You see it sometimes—so surprising
To try a scarf with pattern catchy
And find it’s rather stiff and scratchy!

The vintage scarves—alas, no more—
A size so many of us adore,
Were soft enough to start to sag
But I wear mine proudly, like a flag!

In winter when the winds are high
Wrap up and love that old dip-dye!
What makes them soft I do not know
But magic happens, and they glow!

This week we judge our scarves by feel—
You know the ones you’d gladly steal
And snuggle them against your cheek—
These bring the softness that we seek!

Fellow scarifies - I'm writing a little apology. I've been told that my Aux Pays de Epices is a fake, a pretty one, but a fake none the less. I've reported the posts to the mods and asked them to remove them so no one makes the same mistake I did in thinking it was an authentic Hermes scarf.
I'm so sorry and terribly embarrassed.

I love the softness of 70s but find them less versatile than 90s. I can really only wear them in a cowboy. Here are my five:

Love your intro, ABQ! And your scarves are all dreamy, but that Bouclerie dip dye is one I coveted a while back when I saw it on the Bay. That deep violet is so scrumptious! I wasn’t able to make it mine at the time but will satisfy myself by gazing at your lovely picture!

I’m sad. [emoji17]. I have only 4 70s and no dip dyes. This could turn into a very covetous week for me with regard to the latter!

It’s supposed to warm up this week. I’ll believe it when I see it. But if it does, I’ll break out my 70s for some new pics. Meanwhile, here’s an archive shot of my favorite 70, Savana Dance. A la cavalla knot:
