Beautiful Coffee! Congrats on your new ring! (so glad you didn't lose anything after breaking a prong!)

Fantastic Bobkat! And that lippy is perfection on you!

@Pirula- I'll try to catch up and post something in the "how to" thread. I think you wanted to see the cowboy variation from the les Bains scarf?

And essiedub- here is one idea for the Maxi Twillies I posted over in the "how to" thread:

and the way I tied the Brazil the other day is just an infinity knot. Tie the tips together and loop it several times over your head. Super quick:

I have neglected my MT :( but your infinity knot has inspired me to try to wear mine in this style, dear bunny...

LOL....I have bought and sold 2 140cm moussies because I can't figure out how to wear them! I love them and try them on every time at the boutique then remind myself that I am moussie-challenged.

Oh dear. That's discouraging. :giggle:

I played with a friends moussie recently and it was a relatively recent one, in that last three years or so. It was much much easier to manage than my Karnak. I have no idea what is up with that. It was an Under the Waves.

All matchy-matchy today. Fleurs de Lotus with a jade and coral necklace, and earrings made from red saga seeds and green glass rocailles.
I hunted down this cw of Lotus after seeing a photo of it on tpf. The necklace was a thrill bargain by my mum - she was pleased as punch after knocking off more than 50% of the price (just fyi, this is not quality jade, but it is pretty). The earrings are from Taipei where there are quite a few artisans who create jewellery using seeds and nuts.
And on the subject of hunts, I am now officially on Ban Island because a stack of personal grails suddenly popped up and I clicked ...:crybaby:

I've always loved that CW of FdeL! Lovely combination! (And congrats on the grails. I both feel your pain, and can't wait to see them!)

They are easier to deal with if you fold them not on the bias but just along the length. And if you fold it in a quarters you can try ties on it like a 90.

Bunnycat is right! This Etude d'un Iris is a 140 moussie folded in quarters and tied like a 90 to emphasize different color squares.

And to stay on topic, here's a greenish 140 Ceintures et Liens moussie folded and tied to make a 90 cm size-- such a nice way to maintain control!

Gorgeous colorway of Fleurs de Lotus, xincinsin -- I've never seen jade and coral in this design!

Love these ABQ! That Iris is stunning in the glowy pink and navy. I love the combination of greens and gold with the black on CetL.

And how do you do the 2 point diagonal??? Could you post over in the moussie thread how? Or in the how to thread?

My mum's friend owns a tourist trap shop (lots of trinkets & souvenirs). This necklace was sitting in the shop window for years, so my mum convinced him that since it was dead stock, he should just sell it cheap to her. If I recall correctly, it was an 80% discount :amuse:. Typical Chinese beadwork & knotting design. I could make this myself, but at the price my mum secured, buying was cheaper. I have some loose pieces of good jade in my cabinet. Might try to replicate this one day.

Oops, I take it back -- it's not a 2 point diagonal. I think that would get too complicated for a slippery folded 140 mousse. For a 140 moussie, I find that the secret of manageable ties is just folding the large scarf lengthwise, then horizontal to make a 90, then tying the diagonal corners together and putting the knot in back or on the side.
