Gotta round out the last half of 2018's favorite purchases.

The frenzy didn't stop with the spring buys...nope. Mayhem continued well in to the fall....

First came Acte iii CW 12 after a stalled first attempt at finding the right color for me.

Then hot on its heels was Baobab Cat. After swearing I was going to get the pocket square I backpedaled at the last moment and went with the bigger version (no regrets...I like having large cats all over my shoulders.... :P )

And I clearly wasn't done with cats yet, as I FOMO'd the purple Jaguar Quetzal right in to my scarf drawer.....(no regrets at all....shut up wallet....)

Some time during the late fall I found H Comme Hermes NWT (also had been a FOMO during the 70cm productions. I could never decide on a color...) and turns out most of the Colorways would have probably made me happy, but I love my rose and bleu one...

Still on a pastel kick I also found a NTM Karnak and over the past few months it has become a favorite purchase for the 2018. It has a way of going with most things I wear in an ethereal sort of way....feels like cotton candy....

Plus a little contrast with Caducee Rock. Really love the 100cm size. And love the design of this one....easy to wear favrorite purchase that I got a great deal on...(double bonus!)

And finally, a present from MrBcat at Xmas- Grand Manege Cut bandana. I didn't expect to like this as much as I do, and I suspect it will become a favorite "purchase" (present).

Fouets et Badines was probably the design that most surprised me at the beginning of the Fall/Winter 2017 when I saw it displayed at the H boutique. The checkered hem jumped at me. But it was a design I kept leaving behind for others. Until I saw the green one worn by a Hermès aficionado I follow on Instagram and, inspired by him, I knew I had to have it in the same CW.

Appaloosa des Steppes was one I avoided because the giant spotted horse with the staring eye gave me the creeps, so I never even tried it on. But then I saw so many beauties here on TPF that I decided to give it a try and it was love at first tie. Now there are tons of CWs still on the H website and I may even go for the more neutral CW. Love it so much!

I thought I wanted Etude pour une Parure de Gala in the black and white but they never had it at my H store. Then last summer when I was buying my Acte III, I tried the pink on and died. Didn’t decide on it right then and there but thought about it every day until I finally went and got it. And with it came the white later. I had to because it’s such a luxurious swath of decadent white and I gasped when I saw @Pautinka wear it to the theater. Maybe I’ll still get the black, it’s such an elegant classic.

Finally, Jardin a Sintra. Fell in love with the design but could never make up my mind about the CW. I tried on the blue/purple with the orange border in the summer and was blown away but kept remembering other CWs I had seen on TPF, namely @Croisette7 neutral one. But I had my SA hold the blue/purple for me until he called me before Christmas asking whether I still wanted it. I couldn’t commit because the more neutral one was haunting me. Then the night I purchased Animapolis from the H site, there was the neutral Sintra but I left it in my cart for still a few more days. The night I went in and purchased it I went back to look and it was gone. So, I may have gotten the last one? This was my last purchase of 2018... I am soooo in love with it!

LOL! But, having a “pink problem” is not a problem! And now you’re adding a pink Grand Prix to boot! Oooh... you wear them so well! How did you manage to wear the purple JQ with that print? I would have never thought of doing that! And you pull it (and all of them) off beautifully! Love the Acte III with the leather. The Karnak is ethereal, fluffy heaven!

I have no idea! It's just what I wanted to wear so I made it go. Usually if I change the way I tie something, I find a way to make it work on an outfit. Normally I wear a pocket square with a looser type top, but it was too cold that day so I scrunched up the JQ to take up less space and did a Bova Knot. Aslo the shirt is navy and there is a significant amount of navy in the purple CW of JQ so it seemed to work ok. Thanks!

Yeah- I had a choice of the purple or hot pink GP, and decided yet another purplish CW from spring would be unwise....so I went with (another???? :lol: ) pink.

Karnak really is ethereal, fluffy heaven...:cloud9:

:lol: I know. I am promising to be better in 2019...really I am...(sort of...I just got my first Tiffany pieces....and so the prognosis is not good on that front...)

All beautiful choices! I came so close to buying that JQ- but ended up with the GP in that purple color family.

Thank you scarf1! :flowers: It was a close race. But since I have not only the JQ in the purplish but also the Iris, I figured 3 purplish would be overkill and went with hot pink and green. :) Totally wearable and without all the orange in it totally different from Bains.
