Scarves Scarf Of The Day 2018 - Which Hermès scarf are you wearing today?

This year I only bought one scarf, but it's a beauty! I've never been tempted by mousselines, because at 5-feet-nothing I've always thought all that fabric would overpower me. But lurking on the Mousselines thread last spring, I discovered that... in a universe far far away... Hermés once made PM (90cm) Mousselines!!! Yesssssss! (Elaine does a happy dance.) The hunt was on.

After a couple of intense months, I found my dream PM Moussie: Ciels Byzantins.

These were the highlight purchases from Jan-March...don't worry...there's plenty more from 2018 from me to come....I had a lot of favorites this past year...

Bonnes Vibrations HS from approx. 2015. It was a bit chilly so I kept on my jacket. I doubt that I am on theme; just happy I made a picture for tpf! (and finally got a flu shot!).

Thanks for sharing the chickens story! So funny. We saw a bunch of wild chickens in Hawaii (I think they used to be domesticated and escaped to the jungle after one of the hurricanes), and they had a surpassing amount of personality. I went to school in Asia, and we had monkeys on campus trying to get bananas or whatever else students were taking back to their dorm from the canteen. I would have certainly preferred chickens to that!

I am definitely going to look into more 140s as they are great for travel, which I do a lot. I am hoping I will grow more used to wearing and tying them. I tried using one as a head scarf today for a convertible ride, and it just didn’t work as well as a 90cm would.

When we were in Key West a while back, a very snazzy looking rooster sauntered across the main street, not a care in the world. I would have to say that rooster owned the street and he knew it.

And what a special one it is! Glorious CW! Ciels Bizantines has been on my list since forever because it’s one of the most amazing designs! Must be a dream to tie! I have hopes that, like with you, mine is out there somewhere making its way to me! The pairing with your sweater and pearls is pure refinement.

I am so amazed at your iron will! One of the first pieces of advice an SA gave me was: "Buy only one scarf from each season". Perhaps she could foresee my helter-skelter slide down the orange slope...

My fave purchase of 2018 is Animapolis but you've seen a couple pics of that recently. Here is my "most influential" purchase of the year, A Travers Champs which finally convinced me YES, I can do "colorful colors"! It broke my extensive blues-pastels-neutrals streak. I would not have sprung for Animapolis if I had not gotten this one first.
