Happy holidays, dear scarfies! Christmas is almost here and, before you know it, we'll be kissing as the ball drops in Times Square

We carry on our festive revelry this week with...
DECK YOUR NECK
scarves featuring ribbons and/or feathers
The quintessential ribbon scarf is of course Bolduc. Worn here with Maison des Carres which also has ribbons running round its border.

The H ribbon also coils sinuously round Noel au 24 Faubourg (in gray in this cw, but very prominently red and orange in other cws). The swirling red ribbons in Reve de l'Espace remind me of the red thread of destiny which joins soulmates. And the threads used to create Temari are drawn with artistic licence as ribbons in L'Art du Temari. The pink scarf has no name - part of the reason why I wanted it was because of the ribbon sashes which swathe the tree trunks and form an organic frame for the rest of the design elements.

Ribbons remind me of Brazil (the movie) when the protagonist played by Jonathan Pryce is surprised in bed by his beribboned lover. Brazil is also the name of an extremely feathered and gorgeous H scarf!

I love the tail plumage of MP of course, and usually try to showcase that corner. Belle Chasse was a scarf I passed over many times until
@ABQ2ATL overcame my squick by showing it tied round her neck like a magnificent feathered collar.
