Felling festive heading out on a gorgeous winter morning. I’ve been wearing Baobab Cat quite a bit lately. Unfortunately, my first destination is to the movies to see Aquaman because DH wants to on his birthday (groan...) but at least we are going to one of my favorite restaurants for lunch! [emoji4]

Ah I am seeing so many amazing nice pink lipstick + scarf combos (including @Cookiefiend below), it makes me want to go shopping for lipstick.

Off topic today with Monsieurs et Madame

Nice lipstick + scarf match. the scarf folds so interestingly I have to say, I wouldn’t have recognized it.

Hope you had a good trip! Did they give you a bottle of local red wine when you arrived at Tbilisi? They used to do it a couple of years ago.

I am so fond of this scarf design, and have its cousin.
thank you, we had great fun! :)
nope, they dudn't, but we bought some ourselves :D
it's my grail of grails, it was such a drama-quest-fierce hunging story to get this one! I'm beyond words happy to have it snatched finally, and i, too, have one more cw and a gavroche :hbeat:

Happy holidays, dear scarfies! Christmas is almost here and, before you know it, we'll be kissing as the ball drops in Times Square :drinks:
We carry on our festive revelry this week with...
DECK YOUR NECK
scarves featuring ribbons and/or feathers
The quintessential ribbon scarf is of course Bolduc. Worn here with Maison des Carres which also has ribbons running round its border.

The H ribbon also coils sinuously round Noel au 24 Faubourg (in gray in this cw, but very prominently red and orange in other cws). The swirling red ribbons in Reve de l'Espace remind me of the red thread of destiny which joins soulmates. And the threads used to create Temari are drawn with artistic licence as ribbons in L'Art du Temari. The pink scarf has no name - part of the reason why I wanted it was because of the ribbon sashes which swathe the tree trunks and form an organic frame for the rest of the design elements.

Ribbons remind me of Brazil (the movie) when the protagonist played by Jonathan Pryce is surprised in bed by his beribboned lover. Brazil is also the name of an extremely feathered and gorgeous H scarf!

I love the tail plumage of MP of course, and usually try to showcase that corner. Belle Chasse was a scarf I passed over many times until @ABQ2ATL overcame my squick by showing it tied round her neck like a magnificent feathered collar.

and Plumes by Linares as well:

This flock of chooks is quite tame and provides a show while I'm waiting for my bus. A couple of the cocks are adventurous and frequently hop from branch to branch up the bushy trees, then leap forth in a great flutter of feathers crowing loudly. Much more entertaining than the marauding monkey troop and occasional monitor lizard at the previous office location (which also had 3 home invasion murders and one dismembered body nearby ).

Me too. I have very few of them. I do :crybaby: and  when H issues the design only in 140...

Gorgeous! I haven't seen any of SS19 yet. Wondering if there is any diff apart from cw between this reissue of Perspectives and the original.

Well the numbers seem quite high, I think this is 29 plus it's regular twill not machine so they should be different

What a great intro! I love when you make weird connections (Brazil the movie...LOL)
There's a scarf with no name? Now that is really intriguing. Anyone know more? It looks so pretty.
I remember those posts from @ABQ2ATL - they made me want a Belle Chasse also (which I still don't have, however)
Love these pix. Off to see what I can find.....
