Dimitri Rybaltchenko Cheval Surprise, simple and fun, feels like an ode to being an artist.
Fabulous pop of color for winter. Don't you have this in multiple colorways? I've always been very curious to see the red one on a white background tied...

Thank you, yes my green gets the most use and my the orange/white is currently on my wall. I'm afraid there is no way to wear the red/white one without looking wounded, certainly a head turner, that is for sure. :panic:

Today’s favorite artist is an oldie but a goodie. Henri de Linares. I know, I know - there can be a squick factor but the beauty of the art is extraordinary.
Wearing today Les Fusils

(Always hunting for more of his work - a few are grails though and hard to get [emoji4])
Lovely! I like the classicism of Linares, reminiscent of old Dutch still life paintings. The only thing that has stopped me from pouncing on any is my own lack of imagination. I cannot envision what they would look like tied...

brrrrrr - but you look nice and cozy warm in both your coat and scarf!

Ooh! You have this design in a CSGM! Stay warm!

Yippee! You look fab in it!

These are such perfect colors for you bobkat!

I love your reasoning FugitveR! I agree Bali's designs are better for tying than viewing and I love the modernity of H en Fil.

Hello to the big sister moussie to my little gal of this!

Beautiful choices- they suit you so well. And congrats on your CW 07 of Acte iii!

You look snugly warm Croisette! Enjoy Vienna!
Many thanks Cookie, scarf & bunny! It's snowing!

Huge congratulation, dublineuse!

My two runners up for the week (since I don't have as many scarves from them as I do Alice Shirley)

Dimitri R and also Aline Honore. I really tend to like their overall designs flat as well as tied, and I think that is my defining factor for a favorite artist even more so than total number of scarves. Dallet, though I love his treatment of the big cats- I almost always end up with trouble tying the designs so though I wouldn't give any of my Dallet up by any stretch, I also rate easy of tying very highly.

Aline Honore- so easy for me to tie. Everywhere I look there's something interesting to show.

I learn so much here! “squick factor” — can identify with that.

Ooh, the last one in green mousseline is delightful! I’m totally into the mousses these days. So airy and pretty!

same here! looking for my favored designs in moussies and cottons first. @bunnycat suggested as breathable for our state’s subtropical climate and as bonus find them warm and comforting when wrapped a few times against the cold.

This is a gorgeous array of scarves!!! You have the coolest wardrobe also.
I really like your reasoning: a design that looks good flat as well as tied, PLUS ties without fuss. With several of my scarves I find I need to try hard to get one particular element to show.
Looking forward to some theme weeks that feature tying/knotting, color theory, personal philosophy of scarfing, etc. You guys do a great job with the themes!!
