When I emailed her and told her I heard sometimes SAs can order stuff in from online and how I was interested in having a shawl from online in, she responded “Sometimes we can request items from the website, usually more exclusive items.”

Any idea how should I respond to that? I don’t want to come off as pushy, but I kind of want the item to count towards my profile.
My experience is that website to store transfers are difficult, limited, and frowned upon. I think it is because when they transfer an item from another physical store, they send that store an equivalent item as a swap so that the total store inventory decreases once they sell the item to you. With online transfers, I believe it's only a one way street so the store doesn't really get credit for the sale and now a purchase that should have been a commissionless order from the website now has accounting fees, shipping fees, and ties up the SAs time. Generally, SMs don't want to do it and .com doesn't want to do it so you're stuck.

My suggestion is to reply something like "oh that's very interesting. Well, I was hoping to be able to get the ABC scarf in colorway 01. I believe the reference number is H1234567. Do you know if you have one in stock? "

The iPads they use automatically show inventory of other stores that have it in stock when they input the ref number so hopefully she'll just reply that she can get it for you.

I don’t think it will take you 1-2 years to score a b/k, as long as your SA knows you want one. As long as you show your loyalty to the brand and come around often they will most likely offer you a b/k. And if we have the same SA then I recommend either buying fine jewelry, RTW, home goods, and/or shoes will help better your chances. I don’t believe only buying bags from them will help speed the process. But don’t buy those items if you don’t love it.

P.S. Did your order your twilly to the store or did your SA do that? I’m just wondering if I can order a shawl to the store from online.

Thanks, I’m hoping it doesn’t take me longer than 1-2 years! I will continue to purchase the items that give me joy at least every 4 to 6 months. Thanks for the tip on purchases! I am planning on purchasing shoes, jewelry and more scarves. I’m hoping that our SA looks at my overall purchase history and my effort to come in often as I can which I know isn’t a lot compared to others. Is there a bare minimum that I have to spend at the SF store within a time frame or does this store look at purchase history and brand loyalty mostly? ‍♀️TBH I don’t I have it in me to work harder than that! I live and work in the east bay and I’ve got two toddlers that keep me pretty busy right now and limit my ability to get over to the store. If online purchases went to my store history that would be SO much easier for me.

I ordered the Twilly online and picked it up from the store. When I asked about another color of the jeu de cartes, my SA referred me to the website although it’s on the UK site so I dunno how I would even order the item. They do have an orange one in store that I passed on if anyone is interested.

Just picked up my very first Hermés handbag from the SF boutique! A Jypsiere 28 in etoupe :)

@doloresmia!!! :hugs:

The Awooooo is also quite meaningful because I often ask the kid if he was raised by wolves when he acts out. Then I break out into a howl almost instinctually...awwwwoooooooooo! So questioned answered.:shocked:

Also, whenever I gets email promotions from Burke Williams, I think of you now. So, when you are in SF next, let's hit up H and BW!

Awesome! Will PM you. Was there briefly for a surprise visit and bumped into Jonathan! We hung out and like a naughty monkey he introduced me to an awesome custard dessert thing. Ughhhhhh.

Sometimes I ask myself whether I was raised by wolves too [emoji23]

I want to know more about this custard dessert thing!!!!

Hugs Ang-Lin! Very important that we share knowledge. I credit and curse Jonathan! [emoji3]

Bake cheese tart is in the Westfield Mall food court near Walgreens. The tart line goes fast - not as horrible as the line for an appointment at FSH used to be.

Ahahahaha. I do like the multiple H references to keep ourselves on topic (sorry....). Thank you for the pointer! So awesome you two bumped into each other. I absolutely love the local H community!

Hi, ladies! I am in the process of branching out from Chanel to Hermès and I am looking for an Hermes SF SA who'd be willing to accommodate a rookie H collector like me  Most of my H items were bought online and I somehow wish to branch out to having an actual Hermes SA
I just saw your post! I hope its not too late, or maybe you already found a nice SA with the help of doloremia? I'll just quickly write my 2cents worth here: IMHO I find that ALL of the SAs at SF are lovely! The question is what type of person are you most comfortable with? e.g. quiet type, chatty type, motherly typed, etc. Also, some of the SAs have day offs on the day you visit so going there on different weekdays so that you can see all the SAs at the store might be good. I am sure you will find a lovely SA in no time, if you haven't already! HTH!
