Whew* I finally read every single page of this thread! Super fun and lots of helpful insight. I just purchased my first bag rather impulsively a few weeks ago from the SF store when I went to pick up a twilly I ordered online.

My SA knew from my last visit that I have been interested in the Lindy and she randomly brought out a lindy26 In etain w GHW from the back and it was LOVE at first sight so she went home with me that day! [emoji195][emoji208][emoji94]

I love everyone’s advice about taking my time w getting a B or a K (its not a sprint, it’s a marathon!) and I’m fine if it takes a few years. I’m having fun discovering the brand and adding to my collection only pieces that I love. Also I want to enjoy my Lindy and I like to spread out my bag purchases. Too many bags at once gives me anxiety. And steals the thunder away from each of them!

This may seem a silly question, but my SA emailed me recently thanking me for my Lindy purchase. We have not talked about B or K and I would like one down the road. Since it could give or take 1-2 years to get one, do you think I should email my SA the B and K that I am interested in and let her know I’m ok waiting a few years even if she hasn’t even brought it up with me?
Or should I just wait till the convo naturally comes up? I’m interested in the B25 in GHW and K25 in GHW.

2 develope some bonding with your sa first

Interesting that my Lindy purchase wouldn’t be counted toward my spending record...

It’s true that my SA and I are assessing each other. I’ve emailed her a few times to ask her about a few twillies, and Bastia colors. I’m pleased with how responsive she has been.

Congrats on the Lindy! Love Etain! And w/ GHW! It must be lovely. Have you posted pics already? Would love to see it.

As for the B/K, I say ask for it when you want it and are ready to purchase it. If you want to wait 1-2 years to ask, that's fine. If you want it in the next 3-6 months, ask now. My first H bag was a B after about 3-4 months asking maybe the 2nd or 3rd visit without extensive purchases and regular visits, but I really "Clic H 'ked" (see what I did there ) w/ my SA. Subsequent B/K offers ran the gamut from [high spend + frequent visits = no offers] to [new SA + zero spend = offers]. It's different for everyone and can depend on SA, timing, luck, spend, visits, category, all/none/combination of the aforementioned. Good luck and enjoy your H journey!

Thank you, I think you’re right, I should just ask when I’m ready. I only want things that give me joy, so I’m going to try and take my time with this journey. I have had a love affair with luxury bags since I was in my 20s and now that I’m approaching 40, I’ve been more intentional with my purchases lately. I hate the feeling of having too many bags sit in my closet for so long. I’ve also loved the game of researching and waiting! The hunt!

Also it seems like for some it’s really random what bag you get. I believe the bag picks you, because my little Lindy definitely picked me! I had no idea that I would be walking out with sucha beautiful bag that is the perfect balance of elegance and casual.

The Awooooo is also quite meaningful because I often ask the kid if he was raised by wolves when he acts out. Then I break out into a howl almost instinctually...awwwwoooooooooo! So questioned answered.

Also, whenever I gets email promotions from Burke Williams, I think of you now. So, when you are in SF next, let's hit up H and BW!

I don’t think it will take you 1-2 years to score a b/k, as long as your SA knows you want one. As long as you show your loyalty to the brand and come around often they will most likely offer you a b/k. And if we have the same SA then I recommend either buying fine jewelry, RTW, home goods, and/or shoes will help better your chances. I don’t believe only buying bags from them will help speed the process. But don’t buy those items if you don’t love it.

P.S. Did your order your twilly to the store or did your SA do that? I’m just wondering if I can order a shawl to the store from online.

You def can order online and choose the in-store delivery. Or.... you can ask your SA to do it for you. I think the former wouldn’t get your SA a commissiOn but the latter would. I could be wrong tho!

I totally agree! Every dollar and purchase counts!
