Hi all! I’m a Bay Area native and am just starting to look at Hermes. I am wondering if anyone has experience buying Bs Ks and/or Cs from Palo Alto and SF.

Are the SA’s accommodating within reason? Which store has more stock to offer? I have a few shoes and clothing I’d like to buy and hopefully build up to being offered a quota bag. I’m wondering if anyone has experience in that and what is the ballpark number to think about

Thanks so much!!!

Welcome to the orange side! Here are my suggestions:
  • Go the store that is most convenient to you
  • Find an SA that you can connect with and will accommodate your style
  • Stock is always going to be a mystery, but SF is the larger store albeit in a temporary location
  • Buy what you want/love/need
  • In my experience in SF, there is no ballpark number as I've been offered B/K/C's with zero to low spend before
  • Good luck and have fun!

Hi everyone
I've seen and loyally sought out one particular SA in the SF store in the past four years since I moved to SF. She's helped with a few purchases here and there, albeit they have been small items - anywhere between $300-5000 per shopping trip. Truth be told I buy most of my K and B bags from the Paris stores (under my husband's account as he tends to be the one to go to the stores while on business and buy on my behalf so the big ticket items are under his name, his history) and I took a two year sabbatical from H while pregnant. I'm back to re-establish my relationship at the local SF store, but have found that each time I'm there, my SA is usually busy with another customer who is making a fairly big purchase (think B or K or another handbag, plus several other items). I can't fault my SA for giving them the attention they need but, on numerous occasions I have been approached by another younger male SA who has been really nice, attentive, remembers each time I come in, and exactly what I'm looking for in terms of items. Truth be told, I connect with him more than the original SA.

How do I 1) make the switch to this male SA without offending the other SA who is made aware I'm in the store but unfortunately cannot pull herself away, and without causing any friction between the two SAs?
2) is the above a really big no-no even though I have a much better connection with the male SA? His name escapes me but he's lovely (young Asian male - if anyone wants to PM me his name so that I can at the very least greet hm by first name next time I see him I would really appreciate it.
3) Does anyone know what happened to the old director Tony? I ran into an old associate of his who is now at Goyard and mentioned something about him having transferred to a store in NV or AZ?

Thanks so much!
