That's really good to know! So is it ok to start hinting about Kelly/Birkin maybe next time I visit? When people say "keep wishlist up to date", how often is it OK to contact the SA? (once a month? every week? more or less?) I'm just trying to keep my interest, while not coming off too aggressive...

If you do get offered a bag but changes your mind, is there a polite way to turn it down? Would it affect your chance of getting offered another bag?
I know it is intimidating to shop in H, and especially at our SF store when it’s surrounded by affluence, but I’d recommend working on getting comfortable telling your SA the items you like and don’t like during your shopping appointment. And since quota bags have a long waiting period, tell your SA next time which ones you really love, while acknowledging it may come with a wait and it’s not guaranteed. Beyond that, shop in a cadence where you can develop a rapport and your SA can begin to advocate for you. (If you go too infrequently they could forget you unless you spend massive amounts each time.) I wouldn’t spend too much time pinging your SA via text on your wishlist - just make sure they know when you shop in person. If it doesn’t feel like a bond after a couple sessions, switch to a different SA. I started with one in Palo Alto but didn’t love the experience later so moved to SF, which has been very fun and enjoyable for me. Good luck!

Thank you! This is all really helpful!

Adding on this... discuss your wish list infrequently through SMS/texts and do these conversations during your visits while you're developing/getting to know you're SA. Prepare to wait and definitely have lots of patience. A lot of people call it a journey, I call it a campaign. Almost everything requires patience and a lot of compromise and flexibility, especially with the handbags and SLGs. A visit once a month helped on my end, I feel like these visits helped my SA nail down my style and what I'm looking for because the bags she offered me were spot on. I didn't necessarily brought up my wish list in detail each time, mostly I'd drop hints like color or ask about the leather. i.e.: one time I mentioned that I would love my B or K in Mysore and my SA told me that Mysore leather is only on a la cart service, my last visit I confirmed if RGH really isn't available on Kelly's (next item on my never ending list) and my SA told me they've never seen one. I believe I mentioned this on one of the threads that I commented on but I didn't really actively followed up with my SA about an offer until I knew I crossed the 1:1 spend in the store, this after a few serious conversation about my wish list with my SA. and lastly, I'm sure you already know this, but will put it out there just in case... diversify your profile at the store, look into the other metiers/departments other than the leather accessories and definitely enjoy every step and every goodies you pick up. Best of luck!

And don’t be afraid to decline what you don’t love! I had randomly asked for a picotin 22 while in store one day and then my SA said hey we have this 18 available, want to see it? I saw it and really loved the color, plus 18 is quite a popular size I didn’t expect to have readily available. Anyway, I got the 18 and told her, I still want a 22 but in some light colors. The next week she called me in to take a look at a 22 that was in a gorgeous biscuit color. I loved it but it was a little too close to the previous color I got in 18 so I declined. Thanked her for considering me for this color but felt it was too close to my 18 in color and wanted to hold out for something like nata, bleu pale or mauve sylvestre. She said don’t get it if you don’t absolutely love it. The following week she called me in for a mauve Sylvestre 22. (Yes I saw her three weeks in a row.) But that’s why I really love shopping with her!

I totally agree. My first offer was a C24 touch in Gold, Madame leather. its so beautiful but my heart was set on either a B or K first so I regretfully declined it. My SA still talk about it to this day and after I got my B30 last month, I told her that I'd leap at the chance if the same combo ever comes my way again :)
Also another thing, only ask your SA to order something for you if you're 80-90% sure you'll get it when it arrives.

Would you mind me asking who you work with as SA (I can also PM if that's better)? The more I think, I'm not sure I bonded with my SA... I was randomly assigned to one, and I'm not really sure who to ask for.

Yeah... "no inventory FOR YOU" is definitely what I thought. I did get a B at the Heritage leather event but I think that was a special / lucky instance. Other than that, it does feel non-quota bags have been lacking since last year? I'm just looking for a small-ish everyday sling or belt bag.
I have found that it’s easier to get bags in Palo Alto versus SF but Palo Alto only orders small bags so when I need larger bags I have to go to SF. PA had a better inventory of small bags if that’s what you’re into. Also you might have better luck finding a newer SA because they have fewer VIC clients and might be able to get you the bags you’re looking for. Good luck.

Hi guys! What is your average spend amount after every visit? Especially when making a visit every 1-2 months. Also, if I see something I like online, do you text your SA and have her order it and pick up in store or get it mailed to your home? I want to stay in touch with my SA as much as I can but sometimes inventory at the store is sparse and I feel bad coming out with very little. I guess my question is, how do you communicate and make your purchases in store and offline (eg. giving a list before next visit etc) and it is reasonable to text with small requests. I want to make sure I make good use of my SA’s time knowing how busy they are in store.

I am spending on average about $4K every visit so far this year. I am now at a 1:1 spend, no bag offer yet, but my last visit she told me she is keeping an eye on my wishlist. I went in the last visit bc a shoe I love became available in a new color (Oz Mule in Naturel) and wanted to see if she had it. She had them in black instead, so I went in to buy those. She told me if something is available online and she doesn't have it, to go ahead and buy online. If there is something you want, take a screen shot, send to your SA, ask if she has it? If not, ask if you should just buy online?
