Has anyone seen / had any luck with non-quota bags in the SF store recently? My SA is still saying there's no inventory since last year, but it's just a little hard to believe that nothing is coming in at all...

I think there were some shipments back in Jan/Feb, based on what people mentioned here (+ heritage leather event where people got offered quota bags) and my experience. I got my picotin and evelyn in January after waiting for about 8months.

well, whenever my SA says “there’s no inventory” I take it as “there’s no inventory FOR YOU, at this moment”. Just be more patient like how everyone says here :-).

There is definitely inventory. I got a K at the heritage event, shown a pico 18 last week as well as two evelynes, and shown a gorgeous pico 22 yesterday. I also saw someone looking at a roulis downstairs a couple weeks ago too. I also just mentioned the interest in the pico recently.

Yeah... "no inventory FOR YOU" is definitely what I thought. I did get a B at the Heritage leather event but I think that was a special / lucky instance. Other than that, it does feel non-quota bags have been lacking since last year? I'm just looking for a small-ish everyday sling or belt bag.

I was there March 28-April 1 last week. I was told that the only bags they had were the ones on display.

There really wasn't that much in the store last week when I went. They are getting shipments (I saw someone check out a mini evelyne and a large halzan). But it seems slow and likely that the heritage event was the only influx of bags they've gotten more recently. I'd guess even the non-quota bags are quickly snatched up by people who have requested for these bags before from their SA. Stock seems pretty poor overall still, although they had some new RTW. There are Herbags on display (especially backpack). All the other bags on display don't seem very popular (large travel carry-all's etc), so I think that's also indicative of the stock.

In the past, there was often at least 1 picotin or bolide (at least in larger sizes) on display, but not recently.

They're also taking people outside of the bag area to show bags right now even for non quota bags.

It must depend on the SA. I popped in on Saturday to pick up sandals, asked about a pico 18 and was shown two colors, one of which I bought. Unboxed and tried them on downstairs in the bag area. Then asked about evelynes and saw two colors there as well. Happened to mention I would love a picotin 22 and my SA told me to come in yesterday, then showed me two more colors. Same thing, unboxed and tried them on downstairs in plain view. Definitely did not feel like there was an inventory shortage.

Can anyone explain to me any quirks about getting bags at SF compared to other stores? Is a Constance or mini Lindy or kelly pochette a quota bag here? Just curious. Do you tend to list more than 1 bag at a time on your wishlist? Just trying to figure out how to navigate this better.

Interesting! I've never been interested in pico and have only been asking for other simple everyday bags like mini evelynes, and was constantly being told no supply. Did you see mini evelynes or just regular size? Maybe I'll try asking to see some bags in person like you did on my next visit!

It might not be "no inventory for you" and more, no inventory for your SA. My SA lead me to believe that they get in shipments daily, and everything goes almost immediately and certain SA's that have been there longer get priority. I know there are quite a few SAs that have been there for a very long time and their customers have been with them for a very long time too, so I think they get first pick of what comes in.

None of those are quota bags, but all hard to get bags.
I'd say in terms of most difficult to least: kelly pochette > mini lindy > constance
I think KP is harder to get than most quota bags, I think there are just not a lot of them at the SF store.
KP is probably much harder to get than B25/B30/K28.

I do list more than 1 bag on my wishlist.

Mmm doesn’t seem very fair to the newer SAs.. I feel like they would take turns getting bags to offer..
