I’m not sure what the heritage leather event is actually for but saw a lot more of ladies with their birkins walking around today (compared to other days). Also saw some ladies with new quota bags today! Saw a mini Kelly (maybe barenia faubourg?) being offered and someone else walking around with their sa holding a qb box. I think it’s a special shipment of push offers from France so it’s a bunch of goodies (bag and non bag) in special heritage leathers

Tomorrow’s appt can’t get here fast enough! I just saw my SA on Saturday so I’m so curious what will be available tomorrow

Hi there! My SA asked if Id like to come in for the leather heritage event. I agreed out of curiosity and also to catch up and perhaps pick up some goodies. I’ve never seen so many ladies toting their beautiful Kelly’s and Birkins. Overall atmosphere in the store was a bit busier than usual. My appointment was at 10am which was right at opening. I saw lots of handbags but not much of the usual evelynes and picotin. She showed a 24/24 benerea and a 2002 bag in box. My SA and I walked around and she showed me the heritage leathers on different bags all while catching up since I haven’t been since the holidays. She took me to the second floor To look at rtw, shoes and jewelry and I saw even more ladies and their many beautiful arm candies, I also noticed much more orange boxes, in all shapes and sizes being paraded and given to lucky ladies which struck me as a bit unusual. Then my SA took me to one of the private dressing rooms and she proceeds to tell me that she had a surprise for me. This is the part where I nearly had a heart attack lol and then in walks my SA and an orange box still wrapped in the plastic wrapping and right in front of me was what would become my first podium offer. Birkin 30, black with gold hardware in box leather. I nearly cried lol. Needless to say, I took it home with me. Box leather isn’t my preferred leather but I didn’t mind. It was love at first sight . I can’t wait to start using it!

I just had an appointment today for the Heritage Leather Event. My SA showed me bags and swatches of the heritage leathers and it was fun learning more about them. Maybe I’m naïve, but I really thought it would just be kind of a low key celebration of these special leathers. Then my SA offered me a real treat, a black Box Sellier Kelly 25 with PHW! I’m absolutely thrilled!

I had the same experience! Wonderful SA who showed me all the different heritage leathers, box, tadelakt, barenia, etc and then she took me upstairs and showed me a beautiful black box Kelly 32! I really wanted a 28 but I love the sellier style and the black box is just so classic! It’s my first Kelly and my first offer from SF! (My Birkin offer was a lucky appt from FSH.)

Btw, did any of your SAs tell you how often B/Ks in box come into the SF store? I have always dreamed of a box Kelly and I’m assuming it is very rare for the boutique to get them? Is that correct? Not sure what a push/podium offer is.

Hi! They never disclose. It’s either “no inventory” or “Kelly’s are harder to get than birkin” my first serious conversation with my SA, I got the latter and she added with the pandemic and France stopping production every time there’s a shutdown, there’s been a real backlog on their ‘Kelly’ list and I was looking at a year long wait if I was lucky.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s always so fun to hear others get their dream bags and all the excitement that goes into it. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing with me how long you have shopped at SF and your pre-spend amount before getting offered your first. I’m still waiting and I known patience is key but I can’t help but wonder if I’ll ever get my dream bag :/
