Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s always so fun to hear others get their dream bags and all the excitement that goes into it. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing with me how long you have shopped at SF and your pre-spend amount before getting offered your first. I’m still waiting and I known patience is key but I can’t help but wonder if I’ll ever get my dream bag :/
I’ve been with my SA for several years but I never really got serious about throwing my name on the imaginary list until early Q2 last year. I was hoping to get an offer by my birthday (Q4) but my SA offered a beautiful C24 (gold/gold touch, madame H leather with lizzard on the H buckle— I will never forget it lol) instead, I regrettably, declined coz I wanted a K28 or B30 first and that’s where we had a ‘serious’ conversation about the podium offer and she tried to get me one for the holidays but had to push it by a few months because they didn’t have any supplies until I got invited to the event. Spend wise, I can say it’s 1:1 for me with the price of the veau box (it’s more than togo). This is overall spend in the SF store. If I include my purchases in the website and Palo Alto store then it’s more. I hope this helps!

Awwww so happy for you!! I’m still waiting for my first ever offer. I was hoping if you wouldn’t mind sharing with me your journey — how long have you been shopping and pre-spend? It’ll give me some hope. Thank you!
I’m happy to share my experience if it helps anyone! I learned so many great pearls from reading TPF and also love that I get a forum to share my love of all things H. Take my experience with a grain of salt.

I actually started in Palo Alto but switched to SF after two visits (mid-late 2021) and was lucky enough to be paired with an SA who is just the most fun person to shop with. I’m not a big spender by any means - maybe 2-3K each month but I love going there to talk to her about leathers, colors, history of the brand, etc. She knows I lived in France for a few years and sees me carry and use my items. I really love all the depts (except maybe jewelry) and actually don’t buy much in leather goods. I honestly think I spent less than 1:1 so far and even turned down a KTG. But we always exceed our one hour time slot and just have a good time talking about what looks good and where I’ll wear my items next! Good luck!!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’m so happy for you and your story gives me hope! Hearing 1:1 or around that amount makes me feel better about my spending so I am hoping my turn will be sometime this year too :)

Thank you for sharing your journey! Sounds like you and your SA have a great relationship! Reading stories like yours gives me hope, especially in SF!

Hang in there! when I got close to 1:1 and especially when I crossed the 1:1 for a togo b30, I started really talking to my SA about "my turn." I'd check in when I'm in the store, and also occasionally texted her to see how she's doing and I'd alternate between adding things in my ever growing shopping list to updating/reminding her about my wish list or the last few times, checking if there's inventory. To be clear, I took a more sensible yet strategic in my 'follow-up' approach last thing I wanted was to badger her. SA would either respond or not respond -- both totally fine to me. and I totally believed her when she told me she'd reach out when she has something. it drove me crazy with the waiting not going to lie but it wasn't the end of the world and I kept reminding myself that it'll come eventually and frankly, there's a lot more crazy things happening at the moment. In hindsight, I should've taken the hint when out of nowhere last weekend, when she told me about the event and that I should come in to check it out haha. I also now think that the wait, at least on my case was so worth it. I wanted a K28 or B30, neutral or muted color - I left the color to flexible as long as it's neutral color or close to neutral or muted color, in gold or rose gold hardware, ideally grainy leather -- I wanted something classic or simple yet elegant and they flat out delivered.

I echo this! I never wanted to badger my SA either. I touched base with her on about a monthly basis and would go in for small things and big things and when we would talk about things, I would hint at what I liked. When I turned down the KTG I thanked her graciously and said I’d rather wait for the real Kelly. But most of the time I didn’t bring it up. Also, one other thing was that on my first visit with her I just told her I wanted to put in my wishlist information because I realize it takes time but I love things in this color and style. It was definitely a more bold way than I would normally do things but she knew from the get go what I loved. Trust in the process and enjoy the shopping! It should be fun.

Love how everything unfolds for you!! Lol yes the wait is kinda killing me too but not the end of the world :)
Honestly, you sharing your experience gives me so much hope! I plan on going in once a month to buy something small. How often did you go in? I don’t text my SA often except for scheduling an in person appointment to shop and the last text was me sending her my wishlist for a birkin and tpm. I am asking for neutrals but made a comment that I’m open to any neutral that she might recommend. So fingers crossed.

Yeah I was upfront too, asked about how “wishlist” works on my first visit. And then brought it up again after my last (third) visit with her since I am close to 1:1. I won’t bring it up again anytime soon since I don’t want to feel like I’m being too pushy. I’ll just discretely go in once a month for now to shop and buy a thing or two and hopefully that keeps the light “reminders” or relationship going.

You can always ask for advice on colors or what new things are being featured each season. Also, it doesn’t hurt to periodically send some shots of your items in action. I know my SA enjoys seeing pics of how I styled tableware as well as wearing RTW or shoes. I wish you tons of luck!!

Oh this is great advice!! Thank you! I am going to send her some photos of me wearing the items I just bought! And never thought to ask on new seasons items so I will definitely do that at my next visit! Thank you so much for helping me out!!

I used to feel self-conscious about going in with the H stuff but somewhere along the way I read a thread about SA’s being on the lookout for resellers so I decided to change my approach lol I’d make sure to wear one or multiple items I got from the store whenever I visit. When I went to the event, she complimented my shirt (purchased at the store) and I joked about trying not to wear all the goodies I got from the store haha. I also took to giving feedback to the goodies I buy, i.e: I decided to gift my sis in law and a few girlfriends cosmetics for Christmas and a shirt for the Hubs. I told her that everyone loved the gifts and how my hubs loved the shirt and the size was spot on.
She also liked that I’d send her links and/or pictures of items that I want to add on my list. Easy for her to look up the ref. Code and see if they have it. It’s a good way on staying in the radar if you know what I mean? Though only reach out with the links or pics of items you are atleast 80-90% sure you’ll buy. I also let her know what I’m looking for ahead of time (rtw, shoes, jewelry which starting to be is very addicting lol) and when I come in, I’d drop hints and/or ask about the bags. In my case, I was genuinely curious about maybe a k32 or b35, but my SA told me that k25/28 or b30 would be the best sizes for me. Rooting for you!

Ahhh I can’t believe how lucky I am to get all these great tips from you! When you have things added to your wishlist such as rtw or shoes - do you ask for it and get it shipped or do you ask for it and come into the store and have an official appointment for face to face contact? May I also ask what type of rtw items you like and have purchased! Rtw is all new to me :)
