The colour way I was looking for is only on Farfetch and at an inflated price. I’m in Europe.
I'm surprised at how much smaller the newly designed loulou is! It looks like it would hold only half the capacity of the original.

I‘m sorry to read this.
The sudden disappearance of the original Loulou hit me by surprise as well.
I had the small version in taupe/beige on my list for quite some time (after talking myself out of it and neglecting it before
) it was always in the back of my mind for a possible future purchase.I am also in Europe and was able to find one at a large department store, original price. It seems it really was the last, since it was gone after I placed my order.
I saw a couple small Loulous on different websites for the original price, mostly black and vintage white/off white. I would have ordered off white if I hadn’t found this last beige one.
Now, fingers crossed it is not a return and has no flaws.
Edit: if so, I think I will return and try ordering again the off white from another website.

I just saw the reviews and close ups of the new East-West Lou Lou design. As an owner of the original small Dark Beige Lou Lou and the small + toy puffer bags, I was gobsmacked that YSL pulled the original Lou Lous from their online store. I think it's fine if they had wanted to add the new East-West bag as an addition, but to replace the original with these? WHY?! With the redesign, looks like they skimped out on the back pocket once again. There was a reason why the original Lou Lous were a classic and such a hit with handbag lovers globally, but the new design cheapens what originally looked classy.

The classic flap style with chain, in the puffier square shape was somewhat different from Marmont flap, Chanel classics, new wave LV or anything else I can think of right now.
And now…YSL made the LouLou just like any other rectangular flap bag.
The old and new model could have easily co- existed. lol
I am desperately awaiting my original one in beige. It’s shipped but has not arrived yet.
Right. I'm so surprised they just didn't release an East-West version (and maybe a slightly different chain strap set up) to get already-Loulou owners to buy a new model of Loulou.

I think you are right, looks like taupe to me. If your bag came with the little YSL card in the black envelope, then color code 2346 is taupe and 2826 is grayish brown. Some people have said though they were told YSL discontinued use of the cards. Anyway, beautiful loulou regardless.Thank you…. Sadly, I don’t even know what it is called. 2721 is Dark Beige according to this post. If the pic of your bag is darker than when you see it in good natural light then it's dark beige. I have a toy loulou in dark beige and love the color! I'd have to search for the card.

I feel like I‘ve watched every review on yt and was sure dark beige is somewhat „greyer“ than the one I have now.
But in the end that‘s great news since I can get a matching slg now, because it seems those all still come in dark beige on the Ysl website .
