I can understand waiting for a long time for the item. But sending the wrong item, having technical issue when fixing the customer's problem is unacceptable. And the most frustrating is that even though it is their fault, they asked me to pay the shipping back and I had to talk to their manager to have it waived. Not that the shipping fee is expensive or anything, but it just shows how irresponsible they are.From my experience, these outlet sites (Ruelala, Hautelook, Gilt) take a long time to ship. As I understand it, they don't always have the merchandise, and have to wait for the manufacturer to ship.
I recently ordered some Henkel knives and some Tommy Bahama items from Ruelala. The Henkel knives were ordered in August, and I just received the shipping notice THIS WEEK. While I ordered the TB pants after Labor Day, and I already have them. I think on your first negative experience, that's the norm for these sites. You just have to be patient.
The worst is hautelook.com --they changed their site to make it inaccessible to all who use network computers they dont respons and they dont care! I think their sales are suffering b/c of it
It's a lost cause, even if you're there at 11 est. I logged on at exactly 11, put something in the cart within 30 seconds and then before I finished checkout (and I went right there) it was gone.
