We generally ask that members don't bring the forum up when dealing with third-party businesses - it's dangerous to Megs & Vlad's business to have non-employees acting as representatives of the company. Thanks!

I agree, Gilt has never given me any stress at all. Their customer service is great and they also don't charge you if you return an item. They just don't refund the original shipping which is fine.

As for the earlier post mentioning that their CS gets irritated at you. That is EXACTLY what I experienced. Aren't they supposed to take it? I did not appreciated her condescending tone especially since they messed up. They messed up, where their error resulted in me losing a designer purse for $700+ off, they TOTALLY deserve to be yelled at.

I've had great luck with Ideeli, even though their shipping is admittedly slow (10 business days after the sale to process) when the items come they're perfectly packaged and beautiful :)

I doubt the CS rep packaged and shipped your bag, so NO. You have no right to be nasty to another adult and expect them to "take it."

The bag was $700 off. Accidents happen and you cannot expect a sample sale site to be as accommodating as a major department store. If the bag was important enough to throw a fit over, it was probably worth paying full price for at a retailer that could offer an exchange.

Gilt is AWESOME. Things come well packaged and all. Hautelook is also fine to deal with. I have never ordered from RueLaLa and from what I hear, I don't think I ever will.

I've shopped with Ruelala (2-3k) and both times not only did they send out my stuff w/in 2 weeks, they called to confirm the charges to my cc - I've also shopped w/ ideeli and Hautelook - Hautelook confirmed one of my orders but didn't send a confirmation email - never got the item - no site is perfect - with all those sites I think you have to be careful with size stuff - I am gonna check out Gilt!

I have had problems with Gilt. Twice they sent me the wrong item. Once they sent me a dress marked size 6, but it was a UK 6. Nowhere in the add did it say it was in UK size. They were not very nice about the return even tho this was not my fault. Another time they sent me the wrong color and size.

Ok, west coast working girls...

Does anyone else DESPISE RueLaLa as much as I do? I think it is entirely east coast-centric and it is super unfair! They start their sales at 8am PCT - when us working professionals are almost ALL mid-commute. I have to either be super late or super early to work to take advantage of their sales. Gilt Group usually carries way better merch and starts at 9am PCT/12pm EST - which is much more reasonable for everybody!

Has anyone ever contacted RueLaLa about this? I'm super sore about it today because I got into work way early so I could shop the Final Handbag Sale - they HAD the bag I want sooo bad- but somehow when the boutique opened it was already 'sold out'. Arggg.

Anyhoo - I think every girl on the west coast should email them and request that they start their sales at a more convenient time. I have...

Did anyone get anything good this morning?

Most of us East Coast working professionals are stuck in meetings at 11EST so it's not so different...

You might want to post this in another forum, this one is just for deals :)

It's not just Ruelala, Hautelook's sale starts at 8 PST, too...I don't think it's got much to do with the time, but luck..In this case, I think girls on east coast should be emailing Gilt about changing time, too as it's during their lunch break...It's just difficult to please everyone! and yes, you should probably post in a different forum...

What's convenient to you may not be convenient for others. I think it's convenient enough that Ruelala is able to offer those types of sales to shoppers. Whoever got the bag they want, is plain luck.
