I thought it was fine until I took it on my trip to Tokyo last month. It got heavy fast. Good thing I had my Goyard St Louis with me. I switched out after a couple days. I thought I could deal with it but it was just too heavy. I thought it would be a good idea to bring it because it was cross body but it didn't work out.
I think I might still use it on occasion but not as an everyday bag. I think I prefer my Angela over Rockie now.

I think it is due to the studs at the bottom. It's ok for shopping, to work out the arms for a few hours but not really a travel bag. Thankfully, you had your Goyard with you.

I wouldn't use it as travel bag where I intend to do lots of walking. I usually use my MCM backpack, PS11 tiny, or Celine Trio for that purpose. Anything else bigger weighs me down after a while. I did try PS11 medium and Bal Velo (classic not the giant studded ones) for when I was with my baby and no one else with me can carry a baby bag. That was okay but not very pleasant. I do not like structured or studded bags for travel as they can get heavy after a while.

Is it? Which Balenciaga? I am thinking of getting a Balenciaga too but waiting for the right time.

I take this back. Bal leather in the city size is lighter. I can compare this with the Bal work bag, giant studded one. So, yeah it can be a little on the heavy side. But I still wear it for everyday going about the city or to work. As long as I do not anticipate to stuff it with shopping goodies and do not intend to walk the whole day.

Yeah it's the studs. I brought my Goyard just in case and I'm happy I did. It wasn't big enough for me either since I carry a water bottle with me.

I wish I could get by with a Celine Trio! I need to carry all the essentials for my bf like hand wipes, band aids, Advil, and whatever else he needs. I have a "mom" bag lol everything you ever need is in there.
I used my Velo last year and I felt the strap was too long, I have the older one without the adjustable strap. I made the mistake of taking my City with giant studs once and that was way too heavy.
