Hello everyone, I am planning to get my first AW Rockie, but I am still struggling with what size to get.

I find regular Rockie too large but the new Rockie mini too small, is there a size in between? ( I seemed to have seen someone carrying a "medium size" rockie which i really like)

Also, I have checked nordstrom website and found a satchel called "Rockie crossbody satchel", is it the same as the Rockie?

Thanks a lot!

There is the rocco the rockie and then the mini rockie. I just ordred the Rockie in black leather with pale gold hardware however its heavy for me so I am thinking of looking into getting the mini.

Could you be confusing the Rocco with what you're calling the regular Rockie? The Rocco is the largest of the three sizes at approx. 13.5" L x 9.25" H x 9.25" W. The Rockie is approx. 10" L x 7.5" H x 7.5" W, and the new Mini is approx. 8" L x 5" H x 6" W (45% smaller than the Rockie according to the AW website). I would consider the Rockie to be a medium bag. I weighed mine and it's 2 lbs, 4 oz empty. And yes, the Rockie can be worn cross body, I think Nordstrom just described it as a cross body where most listings call it a satchel.

I impulsively got myself a Rockie :yahoo:

Below are pics along with my Rocco which I love but I just have trouble finding my stuff inside it sometimes! Thought the Rockie zipper would solve the problem. The black/rhodium studs are not the prettiest, but it does make the bag a little lighter. And for $437 I can't complain :D

Great color, and love the studs![emoji2]

Hi girls,

Just received my Rockie in neptune with rhodium hardware from Italist. :D

Quick question, what products do you use to protect the leather of your Rockie?

Thanks

:love::love::love::love:Love this one...still contemplating on whether I should get one. Absolutely adore it but don't know if it works as an everyday bag because of the colour.

You should! I find that metallics, whether shoes or bags, go with everything, and "elevates" or gives an edge to your look. I change the bags i'm using weekly now (used to change almost everyday depending on what i'm wearing) and I have no trouble trying to match my outfits with this Rockie. :smile1:

Those silver studs against the blue leather are gorgeous

I would like to know what leather care products are recommended for AW bags as well.

If you go into the AW reference library there's a thread on care and maintenance. I think it would also depend on which bag, the leather finish on the Rocco/Rockie is very different than the Jane or the Donna. There's a website for Valentino Garemi in Ontario, they have quite a few European products that I've seen recommended for Bal bags (Collonil is one of them). I emailed him re: my AW bags. His personal choice is Saphir delicate cream for conditioning and Saphir Super Invulner or Woly Protector 3x3 for protection but he says there are others equally as good on his site. Hope this helps!

I just bought a preloved rockie in black/rose gold. I am not as in love with the rose gold as I expected to be. I bought it for a little over 400 on poshmark, should I try to resell it and buy different hardware? I am so conflicted. I know I got a really great deal on it and if I bought the nickel or black hardware I am interested in I will most likely have to pay more, along with the time it will take to sell and the fact that I probably won't make as much as I spent. Need advice!
