The piping and corners of my Rockie has worn off a lot no matter how much I try to condition and care for it.. so sad!! But in a way, I'm happy about it because it just shows how much I've taken it out compared to my other bags!!

Anyone else have this problem with their Rockie?

bagshoemisses, your rockie is so beautiful. I just bought one exactly like it and I can't wait to receive it. Your pictures confirmed any doubts I have in my decision to get this color combo; I saw a neptune (ink) with silver and been wondering if I made the right decision.

kuma_kuma I bought a second hand rockie thinking that would save me money before buying the brand new black-rosegold and immediately returned it because of the leather peeling in the back piping. It was described as seldom used so I was expecting a better condition. I didn't know this is a problem with the rockie leather? How old is yours? I hope my new rockie will not suffer the same fate.

These are all so beautiful...I think the Rockie is going to be my next purchase :D

I'm 5'9" - do you think the strap is long enough to wear cross-body so that the bag doesn't sit too high (I usually like it about at my hip)??

Does anyone have the rockie in light pink with ghw? How is it holding up? Is it prone to color transfer? I saw a good deal online and tempted to get it! Well, is $630 a good deal for this bag?

Hi girls
received my new to me rockie today, I love it!!! however, though the seller said its almost brand new/only used it once, there is some wearing off of the color of the leather on the handles. Is this very common and how long does it take for the wearing to happen?
Does conditioning it slow down the process?

I was in Germany last October and came across a Rockie in one of the outlet boutiques selling for less than 450 Euros! It was a pale pink with silver hardware..they had the Rocco in same color too for around 550 Euros but I didn't get it as I wanted the Flamingo Pink which I managed to buy from the Outnet for 400+ pounds.

I love the light pink, Gummy, color w/ gold hard ware. I don't use it enough to wear it down, I don't think. I used the product called Collonil-2 coats, to preserve and protect the leather and I was told if a color transfer happened, it would wipe off. I paid around $550 approximately. Obviously I bought it on sale.
It's a great neutral. Good Luck! :smile1:

Thanks for the feedback! It's not brand new, slightly used but in good conditions from the photos I've seen. I jumped the gun and got it! I really love light pink with gold combo on any bag and have been meaning to add the color to my collection. I've also been considering the rockie for awhile so it seemed like it was meant to be!

Is it crazy that I have a first outfit in mind for the bag?! Hahaha distressed skinny jeans, nude, patent, pointy toe pumps and a slouchy white top! Oh! I also have a light pink KS bracelet on it's way....perfect!!!

I bought the Rookie couple years ago but I hardly use it. Does anyone find the bag really heavy or is it just me? Weight aside, I really love how unique the design is - which is why I bought it in the first place and will be keeping it. :D

I thought it was fine until I took it on my trip to Tokyo last month. It got heavy fast. Good thing I had my Goyard St Louis with me. I switched out after a couple days. I thought I could deal with it but it was just too heavy. I thought it would be a good idea to bring it because it was cross body but it didn't work out.
I think I might still use it on occasion but not as an everyday bag. I think I prefer my Angela over Rockie now.
