Well, that's not what some Americans think. I guess a sweet note mysteriously hidden away in a vault for 63 years isn't as fun as something else more interesting.

People will take anything and turn it into a conspiracy lol. She wrote the letter in 1986 to be placed in the time capsule in Sydney. It's been sitting there for 36 years already. It likely does not have any earth shattering revelations. It's good click bait for the tabloids though.

Everything about the funeral services illustrated the great importance of service to others. The participants seemed honored to be serving Her Majesty, who herself had served the citizens of the UK for over 70 years. It was a powerful testament to the impact of living a life of service.

I was also struck by the small coffin and how the woman within was so widely respected around the world.

It was truly history in the making. We will not see another like her in our lifetime.

Was it this thread where people were talking about watching the Royals' accessories during the various events? People were admitting to searching for some of the bags? Then I admitted to having just purchased a Burberry Seymour English Bulldog to add to my Burberry collection. .... It was either this thread or the thread on William/Catherine. Well, I'm going to put my follow-up here because I think it seems more appropriate here.

Seymour arrived (from fashionphile) with his original Burberry tags still attached. I do have other tags from past Burberry purchases, and I'm someone who keeps my original tags from high-end items, stored away in envelopes. But I never looked at the Burberry tags so closely before ...

Nope according to the papers who use lip readers she was crying as George had pinched her and she shouted out Camilla hissed at Catherine “get her “ and Charlotte burst into tears at Camilla reaction - Meghan saw the pinch and smiled gleefully one for her to make money out of the Wales children misbehaving at the most important royal event ever
I was wondering about that....thought it was possible she was crying over something other than TQ....that little girl is such a gem - between her natural charisma and the way Kate dresses her

This is a lovely story @Pessie, thanks for the link, I enjoyed reading it very much.
ETA: All those fine young men did such an outstanding job. The coffin weighed 550 lbs and they know that literally billions of people are watching every step.
The worst part was going up the steps at St. George's Chapel. I was holding my breath.

A friend told me about a news story today that a British author (Mario Reading, who died in 2017) published a book back in 2005 that correctly predicted when QEII would die. She would have been about 78 or 79 when he predicted her death. His book has become a top seller these past few days since he has also more guesses regarding the monarchy -- the islands or other countries will leave the Commonwealth, Charles will eventually abdicate, etc. The news story is searchable on the web, the image is from a local news site.
