LONDON, ENGLAND - SEPTEMBER 19: Lady Sarah Chatto arrives for the State Funeral for Queen Elizabeth II on September 19, 2022 in London, England.
Lady Sarah is always beautifully dressed for Royal events, her style always reminds me of Audrey Hepburn.
Her brooch in this picture looks absolutely stunning.

Well, that was a spectacular sendoff for an incredible woman. We will not see another like her in our lifetimes, that is for sure.
She planned that to perfection and it was flawless. She will be long missed.
Completely agree with you. The entire day was flawless, beautiful and so very elegant, from start to finish.

Also, the British Royal Family do personal tributes and all those special little details like no other e.g:
- The flowers on top of the coffin (both the flowers on her coffin as she left Balmoral and the gorgeous autumnal flowers for the funeral) all gathered from royal gardens the Queen loved so much including flowers and foliage with sentimental meaning.
- The beautiful music chosen throughout both funeral services.
- The numbers plates (MYT1) on the Range Rovers driving behind the hearse from London to Windsor
- The ladies of the RF wearing pearls, Charlotte and her little horseshoe brooch & Sophie wearing a dress with QEII favourite flower embroidered on it.
- Emma the pony and the 2 corgis watching as QEII arrived back at Windsor to be buried. :crybaby:
- The Queen's staff walking alongside the hearse all the way through Windsor to the castle.
- The floral tributes from the public displayed all across the lawns of Windsor Castle.

I'm sure I'm forgetting lots of other details, but those are the ones that stood out to me the most.

I agree, Sarah always looks lovely and has a style of her own. She’s an original imo.

Nope according to the papers who use lip readers she was crying as George had pinched her and she shouted out Camilla hissed at Catherine “get her “ and Charlotte burst into tears at Camilla reaction - Meghan saw the pinch and smiled gleefully one for her to make money out of the Wales children misbehaving at the most important royal event ever
I always watch George. I'm not surprised he would pinch his sister. Charlotte, on the other hand, seems more mature. And she's my favourite. lol

Has the letter been discussed? The Queen left behind a mysterious letter written before her death and it's being kept in a building in Sydney. Not to be opened for 63 years.

I'm reading a few conspiracy theories, which I love, but it's all fiction, of course. Wonder what others here think.

It's a letter to the citizens of Sydney, Australia, that's in a time capsule so it's likely some lovely, sweet note to them. I doubt I'll be around in 2085 so I'll never know unfortunately.

It will be on season 96 of the Crown!

The things we do not usually see, but we need to see - they are a family who cares about each other. QE and Phillip did well.

I wish they wouldn't add sentimental music trying to tug at my heart strings. I'll decide for myself if it's emotional... it was lovely, but please, I have to mute the darn music.

Well, that's not what some Americans think. I guess a sweet note mysteriously hidden away in a vault for 63 years isn't as fun as something else more interesting.
