Are there books on The Queens private jewelry collection? I know there are lots of books on the Crown Jewels and one on all her diamond jewelry but seeing all the pearls the family wore this past week has got me wishing there was a book on a wider range of The Queen‘s collection
Leslie Field’s “The Queen’s Jewels: The Personal Collection of Elizabeth II” is brilliant. There are some mistakes, and it was first published in the 80s with an update in ‘92 so it doesn’t have all of the newer pieces.

“The Queen’s Diamonds” by Hugh Roberts was published in 2012 and it the most beautiful and well researched book I’ve seen. It only covers the diamonds, and it does have a mix of royal collection and personal collection with a focus on the royal collection (author is a former Director of the Royal Collection who retired in 2010)

This photo of dear little Charlotte broke my heart. All dressed up and she and George were so well behaved on such a long and emotional day. And suddenly it hit her that her beloved GanGan is gone.

I hope that in time the great grandkids in particular will be able to think about how extraordinarily lucky they are to have known and loved both HMTQ and PP for so long. So many wonderful memories they will have for all of their lives.
Nope according to the papers who use lip readers she was crying as George had pinched her and she shouted out Camilla hissed at Catherine “get her “ and Charlotte burst into tears at Camilla reaction - Meghan saw the pinch and smiled gleefully one for her to make money out of the Wales children misbehaving at the most important royal event ever

Many thanks to all who've contributed to this thread and to the other related threads, appreciated. I've jumped around to all of them in the past week and a half.

We haven't had cable TV for quite a while, so I've watched all the recent events on BBC.com, as well as on Britbox (US streaming service). All very moving, and so very glad to have been able to see even parts of all the processions and services.

I mentioned this earlier, but Britbox has some wonderful commemorative programs currently available. My husband and I have watched and enjoyed a number of them. This one, below, was apparently produced by the BBC for the Platinum Jubilee. It's so charming, very touching, and it was so generous of Queen Elizabeth to allow access to her home movies. She also provides some narration. Maybe some of you in the UK have already seen this? I hope everyone has a chance to watch it!

Yes, it was made for the Jubilee, I saw it and it was indeed wonderful.

Kids will be kids. Imo they are not ready for such a long day with oh-so much tension. In one of car ride videos, it looked like Cam was most definitely not pleased. Perhaps they were too young for this event. There is talk of an Australian tour with them - maybe it should wait. Just my opinion.

It’s been an unimaginably tough week for all of them and all played out in public. I don’t know if this is true or just malicious reporting, and it makes no odds to me. I think it’s understandable if they give way to stress at some point after 10 days of it. It’s just human.

I have a question for all of you:
We here are interested in these funeral ceremonies.
Now lots of people are not interested - or even oppose strongly, and find hard words for these ceremonies.

What do you tell them?
How do you explain your interest and your feelings?

I just tell people I've been watching the Royal family since I was a teen.
(started with Diana and the wedding).
If there's anything they need to know I probably know it - I position it as a hobby,
like they have hobbies too that I don't know about.
