Does anyone have intel on the current cost of shoulder strap replacements for the Neverfull? I just purchased a GM Damier Ebene from 2009 - waiting on it to be delivered - and I'm trying to compare the cost of repairs + the purchase of an older bag vs buying a brand new one.

Got my delightful mm back surprisingly early! Quoted me 8-10 MONTHS!! but it was only 8 weeks they even gave me a new and improved drawstring dust bag lol. Also, my bag was made in the US, but it now says made in France. I guess because it was repaired in France?

Interesting! They usually dont put a "made in" anywhere stamp on the repair bags! At least that has been my experience, and they often remove the date code :(

Saw this on Reddit. Post is from four months ago, maybe it will give you an idea

It appears that I cannot book an appointment for repairs on-line, on their app. It says pick a date, and no dates are available.

I made the mistake of storing my Speedy 55 in the overhead bin, and a nice person took the liberty of "helping" me get it out and yanked it...the hardware on the handle was torn out of where it was attached. It's a very well love and used bag from '95. :(

the same exact thing happened to me twice over Christmas! My 1980s keepall 45 had the same tear as yours and it tore right as i was leaving. luckily it was at family's house just 10 minutes from home. Same thing happened to my 1980s speedy40 a few weeks earlier. can't complain as they're both 30+ years old. took them into Vuitton at the end of December for total leather replacement. quoted $870 for the speedy40 and $750 for the keepall45. could have just bought some preloved ones but the keepall model isn't made anymore and i love the canvas on the ones i have. now i get to break in the leather all over again:blush:

I bet you get at least another 30 out of them! Did you make an appointment or just show up to the store? I am not crazy about the store closest to me...I am even wondering if I should take my bag to France this spring when I go to see if they will fix it there.

i hope so! i just walked in to the boutique. i've been haunting the vuitton counter since high school and i just turned 35 in october. my obsession began early. if you're already going to the motherland, it might be worth taking your bag with you, especially if it can be folded to conserve space during travel.

Screenshot 2023-01-10 at 00.12.09.pnghere are two more i purchased last year. on the left is the speedy40 i took in for full leather replacement. the other is a cabas alto and quickly becoming my new favorite. great as a travel bag and i tested it as an errand bag (carrying items to return from post christmas shopping regrets). i'm going to test it as a school bag as my classes start tomorrow, give my MZ WALLACE a rest

these are the items i mainly focused on last year...good old SLGs! i truly find them very useful..i used to wonder "how many of these does one person truly need?" but i have a specific use for each and every one.

You're going to LOVE your Cabas for school. I had one for grad school and early years of my career. Great bag, so durable and roomy. I cannot rave enough about it.
