I had a lovely ivory B bag and a gray one (both 05). The ivory had yellowed and handles were dark. The gray one the handles had darkened. I had Barbara at Loving My Bags fix them......TOTALLY cleaned up the grey and ivory handles back to original and restored the ivory one. I heartily recommend her! She is very detail oriented and very honest! By the way, she said DO NOT use lubriderm on this bag......the leather is not lubriderm friendly. Try her products, you won't be disappointed!

yea, i got mine at shirise, 50% off sale. considering i paid only 500 for this bag, i don't know how "nice" they will be with customer service. maybe i will get a city instead....only in my dreams will I be able to geta cornflower blue city for 50% off! Haha

Hi Didi,

just wondering..i'm kinda new..so i don't know much. are you talking about this shirise.com? If it is, I check their site and the don't have balenciaga bag on their site. How can I purchase a discount balenciaga bag from them? Do we have to e-mail or call them?

Thank you!

Hi all~
I recently purchased a used twiggy on eBay. It hasnt arrived yet, but should with in the next couple of days. I got it super cheap, but it's in need of help. It's a bit dirty and will more than likely need a good cleaning. I've seen on other treads that people recommend LMB, what's that? I would appreciate any and all advice on getting it cleaned as I've never had to have a bag cleaned or refurbed before, so I have no idea where to start. Thanks so much!

Yeah, you have to call them. You cant buy balenciaga online.

Hey guys!

I'm considering buying a b-bag that has been LOVED a whole whole lot. I am definitely going to need to refurb it a bit. I'd actually like to get it dyed a bit darker, but before all that, it's going to need some serious cleaning. So, I have questions:
a) Do I send it away?
b) LMB - what is this? Lovin' My Bags - is it a place or is it some formula for bags?
c) Can a b-bag be totally beyond repair?
d) How much can refurbing it cost me?

Thanks! Hope to join the ranks soon!
Peace,
Nyckei

I've only been addicted for a few months, but I've had handles cleaned by LMB, and I would recommend them wholeheartedly. However, just to have my handles cleaned cost almost $200, when you include postage etc. I know she will dye a bag, and someone has posted photos of one that looks lovely. It does not look exactly like the original color, but that may depend on the color you are going for. Also, I would be very concerned about the texture and feel of the leather after dying. It would almost definitely lower the bag's value. If you want to ask questions directly, I think this link will work:

if not, you can google lovinmybags. There's a phone number listed, and Barbara is very sweet and helpful. Good luck. :smile1:

It doesn't dry out the leather any more than a mild leather cleaner, and it removes only the slightest amount of pigment.

Check out before and after:

Hi, this is really amazing...do u know if it helps to get rid also of the yellowish hue developed on my Lilac City bag? Is it possible to advise the auction number of this cleaning agent? I really hope to find solution for my cranberry's and teal blue's dark handles too...TIA for help:smile1:

Just wanted to mention that the handles on my Black City look as good as new since I painted some "Edge-Kote" on them to fill in/repair the cracks & chips. I'm sure it would be a lot trickier to do this on a non-black bag...but I'm going to try that next (by mixing colors to get an exact color match).

Update: I did this on my Vert D'eau Part Time. I hadn't even worn it yet, because when I rec'd it the edge paint was worn off in places & cracking (and it was brand new...but I think it had been knocking around Aloha Rag for a long time). I like the results...I matched the color pretty closely w/a combo of green, white and black flexible acrylic paint for leather. I decided to also paint the whipstitching because on Vert D'eau it is very light colored and it was already looking a bit dirty. That was one of those *yikes* decisions...but I think it looks much better now...plus it will be more durable.

What is edge-kote? I also noticed some cracks in my handles.

I've just ruined my 1 day old EB Day!!!

Sprayed it with Wilson leather protection twice, let it dry in between..now there are lot's (about 8) little "shrinks" on my bag...looks like the leather has shrunk a bit in certain places, like little rips..

I'm devastated, don't think this can be fixed?...:crybaby:

Glad it worked out fine. I was just ogling your beautiful EB day :p. But maybe it'd be best to go with Apple or LMB products when it comes to caring for Bbags... There've just been a lot of positive feedback and info when it comes to those two brands. Personally, I feel safe about using Apple or LMB because I know they've worked for a lot of people and if something should go wrong, I can just visit PF and find solutions/answers.
