I don't blame kitty for wanting to take a bite of your B-bag--they look scrumptious to me as well. As for the damage, I agree with rocco's post to let it dry completely before trying anything. The darkness will likely fade and then you can just dab a bit of leather glue to seal the hole so it doesn't get bigger. Good luck!

^^ ditto, best of luck to you :flowers:

I will post a picture at some point...but it's definitely noticable. A male friend stopped by who is usually TOTALLY oblivious to stains/rips/tears, etc., and he said I should show it to him so he could tell me it's unnoticable. So I did. And he confirmed it's pretty obvious.

I'm going to leave it alone for a week. Maybe something else will happen whereby this will seem minor by comparison and then I won't care.

I hate it when pretty things get damaged. Oh, that kitty...

Oh how awful, I am so sorry. I do hope you can fix it, I am sure a professinal like LMB could do it if it came to that - one of my fears is my one year old will chew on one of my bags.

Sorry to hear about what your naugty kitty cat did! Expensive taste he has!

I wouldnt do anything with the bleach... unless you totally know what you're doing...

I'm scared of bleaching things just because its irreversible and a very powerful substance!

I think LMB would be the best bet, or finding a simaliar colour of fabric paint and do what you wanted to do with the bleach with the pin?

Not sure if it would work... perhaps LMB would be the way to go?

Oooh, I agree, bleach and a Bbag shouldnt be anywhere near each other!~let the bag dry out for a day or two. Well, ya know Decophile did describe a bag last night as the leather being chewy.....

I have 2 kitties, one could care less about anything dangling like tassels, the other? yikes...its like having a toddler in the house!

Well, now you have learned a valuable lesson---don't put your bag where your kitty can get to it! LOL...my babies love my bags---if I set them down within reach they will be all over them in seconds! Nothing's cuter than seeing a lil kitty head peeking out the top of my LV bucket or one of my Betsey Johnson work totes. It doesn't bother me--they're just bags. Except for the Chanel of course--all baby kitties must respect the Chanel!

oh pls pls post pics of kitties in LV bucket ! i love kitties just as much as my bags ! thank god i learned that valuable lesson that kitties love your bags even more than you on a cheap one .. now i will never make that mistake again ...Highgloss i hope you will manage to get your bag back to perfect shape! *fingers crossed*

:banned: Kitty is no longer allowed to play with your bag!
Poor Kitty, she was probably just "helping" you
I hope the hole will be better as it dries!
Good luck, I hope it turns out okay!

LOL -- he probably did think he was "helping" me, by testing the bag himself to make sure it was good enough for me!

He's a silly little cat, 4 years old but was very sick when born so he still looks and acts like a kitten. He's ruined every nice thing I have. But, hey, he's my ticket to heaven...

I will figure out what to do with the bag in the next couple of days. I can't bring myself to deal with it just yet.

Thanks, everyone, for your input!

Does anyone else have the problem of the paint that seals the handles under the whipstitching cracking and flaking off?

On my Black City, the paint cracked and chipped off in a bunch of places on the handles, showing white underneath. I have been carrying my Blue India Part Time a few months, and I'm starting to see the cracking in a couple of spots & don't want it to get worse.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening in the first place ... or at least from worsening?
