Sounds very much like the edge-painting is coming off (not the leather); it shouldn't happen, regardless to wear. I think the best is to return it to the shop for repair/replace.

sorry i can't be of much help here, but i remember reading about a couple tpf'ers who had their balenciagas repaired/refurbished (i think there's like 2 shops that are supposed to be great) and they were really pleased with the results.

i didn't know Bal NY does restoration? what is it they actually do? do they replace worn piping? what do they charge?

I think this is pretty common wear and tear with bbags. my black city did this too- I sent it to have the edges resealed and it's back to new. I used artbag, but also lovinmybags does the same service.

I wouldnt worry too much about it though, it seems like just part of the lifecycle of a bbag!

Yep leather glue will work, but when did you buy this from aloha? If it's fairly recent, then this shouldn't happen right?

Has this happened to anyone else? On my RV City, one of the threads on the bottom seam has started to come out. I've not encountered this before, and I'd like your advice on what to do about it. I bought it 2 months ago from AR.
I certainly don't feel like spending $50+ dollars to ship it to BalNY to get a little thread repaired, as I feel I spent enough on the bag. Is there a warranty with these bags? I've been lucky enough never to have a problem so now I need help!

I don't have it on my rouge vif work. I would send it back to AR because here all merrchandise have a 2 yera manufacturer warranty but I'm not sute how it's in the u.S but it should be at least 6 months. Good luck, style and I'm sorry to hear about this

Thanks for your advice, Tanja...the problem is that for me to send it to the US and pay for the return shipping would be at least $50...I'm wondering whether anyone here has had experience with getting the retailer to cover the shipping both ways when there is a repair issue within the warranty period...?
