Personally, I don't think it needs anything. It's hard to see the corners but if you want, you can touch those up and maybe any white seams. BNY is great at doing minimal restoring without changing the original character of the bag at a great price (they will refuse to clean & condition). I just sent another black bbag in to have the corners and seams done after being satisfied with the previous one that needed some help (corners & a penmark). I think they may be using Modern Leather Goods in NYC since the price and conditions on what they're willing to do are similar, but not sure.

I see NOTHING that a little apple conditioning wouldn't take care of! Oh wait a minute - its AWFUL and you should SELL it to me!!! - really its PERFECT just the way it is.

What a great deal!!!! I doesn't look to me like it needs a huge over haul! I have personally seen a bag refurbished by being painted! The color was on the hardware, it didn't feel as soft as originally, and it smelled kind of funny. But I feel that one was in much greater need than I see with yours. It really looks like it won't need much done to it! Congrats on your find, and make sure you share pictures if you do get her spruced up!

:yahoo:

Thanks so much for all the positive responses...I am definitely lovin my bag!! Speaking of which, I talked to Barbara at lovinmybags.com and I'll be taking my little baby in on Friday for a look-see. I love her just the way she is, but just a little love never hurt anyone! I'll definitely post "after" pics when I get her back...

i bought a white twiggy from a sf saks in march. i used the bag so much that the edges of the leather are coming off from the shoulder strap. does anyone have any advice about repairing it or what to do? i have a two year old and i used the bag like crazy over the summer to put his stuff in and unfortunately shows a lot of wear now.:crybaby:

If I was you, I would bring the bag back to Saks and see what they say. A $1200 bag should last more than 6 months, even with daily use.

As much as I LOVE my rouge city bag, I would return it to Neiman's in a HEARTBEAT if the leather started splitting and peeling after just a few months.
