Hello sdsurfchick - No, I'm not familiar with the advancedsearch section on ebay but I'll investigate it. I really appreciate your input. I really like the Napolean you have mentioned (I'm a sucker for the silk jacquard). I've found a very pricey one in a pink CW on eBay and a white one also. Aside from just liking them, will this Hermes book discuss which are the more desirable CWs? Again, many thanks for your input.

I just bought a beautiful Hermes scarf for the first time, and now that I look at it at home, the back of the stitching and the care tag, seem to be on the front side, instead of the back side. Is that normal?

Dear Sdsurfchick,

You are a genius! "Marche Flottant du Lac Inle" I believe is the one I am looking for! You don't perhaps have a photo of it do you? I can't seem to find one on the web. Sorry for the late reply - my email account didn't notify me of a post... Thank you again so much!

I was told about a Hermes "Central Park" scarf. I don't know how it looks like. Shall be similar to a Longchamps. Does somebody know exactly? Thanks for your help, e.g. with a picture.

there were several scarves issued for Central Park. One commemorated the opening of the (now closed) 57th store and said Central park, but really was about the boutique opening. The inscription mentioned the butique & the design was Promenade de Longchamps in ecru.

There wre other scarves commemorating Central park type things
- Christos Gates - orange H en bias with inscription
- Friends of Central Park (or some such ) which was an aqua version of Jardin Enchante , I think
- Central park Conservancy - a special design - not in regular collection - flowers , animals by Toutsy in 3 cws blk/sepia, lt green, aqua/mint/pink

Thank you very much. Following my friends describtion it was the design of Promenade de Longchamps. Do you think it's a collectable?

IMHO, not very collectible because it does not have a custom design produced only for that scarf . At a distance, it is just another P de L.

It would have to be in perfect condiion for me to consider it, and then I would save it not wear it

Hi _ Being a neophyte - how does one know if it is a custom design for that scarf alone?

Hi there, I recently found this Hermes scarf at a resale shop for 7.00 USD !! There are a few spots and some color runs, but its still bright and beautiful. ( It was priced at $14.00, but I purchased it half off because of the condition ;) ) I did a little research and found out it was from Annie Faivre. I think its from 1983, but couldn't find any others with this hot pink colorway. Was wondering if this is a re-issue ? Any kind of information would be really helpful. Thanks so much !

To my knowledge, the scarf was only issued the once. There is of course another circus theme scarf : Cirque Molier. And the jacket in the corners recalls all the galloons in Caty Latham's Brandebourgs - just reissued in vtg 70 cm silk, I think
