the caretag has become undone - on one side

If you are really good at sewing, find matching thread and do a tack stitch to hold it. If not, do you know someone who sews well? This happens to most caretags if you wear the scarves and a lot of people just remove the tags because they sometimes show when you wear the scarves. If you do remove the tag, try to save it in case you decide to sell the scarf. It's not necessary but it helps.

Thanks, merrydish. I would like to leave that as my "last resort"...I have come across a scarf on ebay which, allegedly , has been sent to Paris Hermes (?) to have its hems redone (a vintage Clerc I believe)...I was just wondering if anyone had any information about this type of work...if they do tags and so on..

Does anyone know if the preciouscolours website is down permanently? It's a great resource and helps me get to know scarves and occasionally self-authenticate those I'm interested in.

Thanks!

Well, from what I understand the wonderful lady who created it is debating whether or not to put it back up. I'm told she wants a month to think it over. I'd hate to see it go forever since it's the best Hermes scarf database ever!

About a month ago I had an email conversation with the lovely lady who runs it .
She didn't mention she would close down her site, but she said she was in the middle of moving house and buried in boxes!
I've just sent her an email, asking for news.
I agree with you Kelly100 and merrydish, it's the best site!
Let's hope it will resurface sometime soon,

Thank you for the update on Precious Colors! I got almost panic-stricken today when I noticed it's not working:sweatdrop: Hopefully she's continues with it, I love the site, too!

Hello all

I'm a new scarf addict, and I have some questions for the group
1. In what year was Lee Voitures Nouvelles issued?
2. I bought a scarf "Luna park?" by joahim Metz. It has a carousel on a black background. Is that the correct name? can't find any info on it?
3. Bought a scarf with rifles on it. It is my absolute favorite - but I dont have a name for it.

Many thanks
