Thank you marietouchet...but if you hadn't put my nose to the right track I would have followed the wrong scent completely so thank you for the education and guidance! Now, I have a little admission to make - I have enjoyed this journey so much that I think I made a successful bid yesterday for a silk 90 of this scarf on the *Bay. I kinda feel I owe it to Henry to have one - he has become almost like a friend the past few days! Thanks @bunnycat! [emoji23][emoji23]

Big congrats Pautinka - you homed in on the very one I'd ogled :-) So glad it goes to a good home - please post a picture when it arrives - curious what you make if the border - is it a darkish/medium green - hard to see properly in my iPhone screen :-)

Hi Marietouchet - I've checked this thread and the inter-webs for information on the scarf Metamorphose d'un Carre, but - gee - there's none to be found, just pictures.
Might you know who was the designer for this and when it was released?

(I asked xincinsin and ABQ2ATL on the SoTD thread but this is probably the more correct place for the question - so I deleted that post)

I'm wondering if it came out same season as Cocottes de Soie since it has the origami theme. If so, then maybe by Anamorphee? Shall compare the origami design when I get home and see if there are similarities.

Thank you! :flowers:
It could be Anamorphee, I didn't think of that!
Each of these origami birds are 'made' from the same pattern as what might be a scarf in the center of Metamorphose d'Un Carre. I thought it might be from 2014 because the theme was Metamorphosis.

Hopefully, you have found your answer somewhere.

These days I've forgotten more than I know. However, my notes say this design was released only in pochette and prior to 2008.

Could it be that this Anamorphee list is incomplete? I don't know. http://www.anamorphee.com/hermes-12

I hear you on having forgotten more than I know!
But - no - I haven't found any answers.
I've only been able to find pictures of it on the HSCI Hermes Scarf Photo Catalogue, and a few on the internet. Finding it on the HSPC at least made me feel better but I have zero information other than that.
It's another Hermes mystery!

I unearthed the two origami scarves but cannot conclude if Metamorphoses is by Anamorphee. The origami horses don't look similar enough for a definitive answer.

I agree - they are similar… but that's not enough to go on.
I would think that Anamorphee would have signed the scarf it it was theirs, don't you? Unless this was a promotional scarf or something like that?

I searched in vain for a signature on Cocottes. Doesn't mean it isn't there. My cw is quite dark, so the siggy might be hidden. Is there a signature on other Anamorphee designs?
One factor I considered is that there are many ways to fold an origami horse, but the same folding method is depicted on both scarves, so I'm inclined to think there may be a connection.

I only have Perspective Cavaliere and it is signed.
And - yes - there are only so many ways to fold an origami horse, and there may be a connection. Wouldn't that be awesome!
I'm going to check further online to see if I can see a signature on a Cocottes - it's such a cool scarf.

Hi I am in love with the Hermès L’intrus carre. There are a number of them floating around on eBay, and I am tempted but could anyone recommend other places that have vintage scarves? As for L’intrus, does anyone have it, who would be willing to post mod pics? I really like the navy, black or white colorways but I’m on the fence. Also, any advice??
