ok, after thinking it over, i dont think u will be able to find anything anyway since it's been 5 yrs since 2008, Year of India which had lots of elephant scarves.

Beloved India
Caparacons (this has been reissued a few times and was never that popular to begin with so chances of u finding one are excellent)
Fantaisies Indiennes (same as Caparacons except that it is more popular)
Carre Kantha
Legende moghole
Splendeur des Maharajas
Ronde Des Elephants
seton,

thankyou sooooo much. I have been googling but thought I would ask here to narrow my search.

I really appreciate your expertise and time. At least now I have a platform to search from.

Thankyou.

Hi,

I can't seem to be able to find an answer to my question, so I'm hoping someone can either direct me to an existing thread or answer my question. Did Hermès ever produce c’est la fête scarves in 90cm, or does c’est la fête only come in 70cm?

TIA!!

This design was new for Spring/Summer 2013 and has only been produced in the 70cm size. If memory serves, it's actually a men's item. They did use the design in some of the men's RTW.

Thanks for the reply, BBC!! I have heard that it was a men's item, too, but apparantly, it's been more popular with the ladies. Thanks for confirming the size for me! :)

Does anyone know if Hermes ever made a scarf with a Madagascar theme? I looked for lemurs and orchids, but I'm a bit at a loss on what search terms to use. I'd also be interested in a Mauritius or Seychelles theme.

The other thing that Madagascar is famous for is spices, particularly vanilla and cloves. So I think Au Pays des Epices would fit the theme

Thanks so much for these lovely suggestions! A coeur de la vie does indeed have lemurs! Orchids too! And the spice scarf is stunning, and such a lovely tribute to the islands. I actually have Jungle Love and never noticed the sweet little bush baby in the corner- it must be the dip dye obscured the design so i certainly need to get on in a regular colorway. I've put them all on my list - I didn't want to say anything too early, but I found out yesterday that I will be moving to Madagascar next year for work! Plenty of time to add some themed scarves to my collection. Thanks again for such great suggestions!

Forgot to mention - one that would be easier to find ...

Tous les bateaux du monde is also by Honoré - 2013SSS scarf and should be in the stores ...

Its border, IMHO, is quite derivative of that in Au Coeur de la Vie - orchids, but I think the lemurs might be absent - It has a totally different pen & ink look that ACDLV, which has a LOT of flowers

Hello, ladies. I would like to ask a question about Hermes scarf washing (sorry if this has been answered before). I own a vintage Quai aux fleurs (1952) with major colour run all-over the scarf to the point it is unwearable. What should I do?Take it to the dry-cleaner?Try to clean it myself? I have a friend who tried the boiling water method on her scarf (not as damaged as mine), but the result was great.
I don't want to ruin it further, but I'd love to clean it so I could wear it.

Thank you!
