Hello, ladies. I would like to ask a question about Hermes scarf washing (sorry if this has been answered before). I own a vintage Quai aux fleurs (1952) with major colour run all-over the scarf to the point it is unwearable. What should I do?Take it to the dry-cleaner?Try to clean it myself? I have a friend who tried the boiling water method on her scarf (not as damaged as mine), but the result was great.
I don't want to ruin it further, but I'd love to clean it so I could wear it.

Thank you!
From my knowledge, boiling water method seems to be the only method for vintage scarves with color run and unstable dyes. Do it at your own risk, though.

Hi--
This is my first post, so forgive me if I'm asking something that may already be answered elsewhere. I was under the impression that the "C'est la Fete" is only issued in the 70cm. There's a guy selling a 90cm and tells me it's on Hermes.com. I check .com several times a week and there has never been one available there. I know online does not have everything that the boutiques do, but I would have though I would run into the 90cm by now as I've been trying to buy this scarf in every CW I can find. Help anyone? I hate to say it, but it's probably a fake???

Thanks so much!

I am pretty certain "C'est la Fète" has only been issued in 70CM (originally intended for men). It was so popular however, I wouldn't be surprised to see a re-issue in the Fall in 90CM.

I agree with you Jahna--they'd be foolish not to! But where did this guy come up with a 90cm currently, if not a fake? He says he got it as a gift, so of course there's no paper trail to back it up.

I thought about that too and asked him to measure. He says it's a true 90cm. His listing price on eBay has gone down from $400+ to $275. Hummmm. Listing #140981727608. Thoughts?

While I am 99% sure this has to be a fake at 90CM (if they had made a 90CM I would have been there in a heartbeat!), ask this question in the "Authenticate" thread. Be sure to check post #1 for the format.
