Hi, I have included a pic of a scarf I bought - can anyone authenticate it? Thanks so much. See attachment.

Welcome to the site! Your scarf IS "Paddock" by Jean-Louis Clerc (as you noted): here is a link to a great research site: http://piwigo.hermesscarf.com/index?/search/17994

I can tell you that on the "Authenticate" thread they will need specific pictures for an expert to help. SOME of these are the caretag (if any), closeups of the hem, copyright, name etc.

IN NO WAY AM I TELLING YOU THIS IS AUTHENTIC OR NOT; just a heads-up, and also check the first post of the authenticate thread for format.

Here's more pictures of Paddock - I had already bought it so I'm not sure if the link to ebay is still there. See attachments. Thanks.

Hi bpk,

Do post this message and these pictures over on "Authentication". I only wrote to you on this thread because the moderators like to keep the authentication thread as clear as possible so that the already way overworked experts can just do what they do best: authenticate.

You are new here and I can tell you I have the 90 cm of this scarf in another CW but I do not have the knowledge you will find from sdsurfchick, Dame de Coeur, and others.

Good luck! Jahna

Hi bpk and welcome to this forum. I understand that you are still new and still learning to be familiar with posting and replying on this website, however I hope that in the future you would be kind enough to align your posts with the topic of each thread. Posting the same questions on three different threads in a forum within a few hours is not really recommended.
When you are about to post a reply to any thread on tPF, please read the first page and the name of the thread to know the topic and purpose of the thread to avoid being off topic. For example, this thread's named Reference so let's keep it reference, not authentication. There are many members who find this thread helpful with scarf info about year/artist/colorway info but digging through too many off-topic posts is very frustrating and time-consuming.
Also, even though you may be too eager to find out if the scarf/pochette is authentic or not, please do understand that sdsurfchick or dame de coeur are volunteer authenticators and they can't be available 24/7 for instant authentication. Give your request a turn-around time of about 24 hours and it's preferred to request prior to bidding (if you have no choice due to last minute bidding, post request after you have paid and received the item).
One year ago I was at your position being a new member and learning to navigate around the forum. It's a bit confusing at first, but pay attention and everything will be easy.
Btw, while you wait for the response from sdsurfchick or ddc, the seller of your scarf, vegabond204 is a reputable seller and I wouldn't freak out too much.

Best,

Hello:

I'm sorry if I have reposted but I only read until page 43...

I've checked the scarf directory some user has posted but I can't seem to find these 2 scarves:( If someone could help me find the reference it would be great, I'm about to close a deal and I just want to double check I'm not getting any cheap knockoffs.

Thank you very much in advance:)

I'm not trying to authenticate here the scarf in the link below, but I would like to know the name of the artist and the year that it came out. If any of the experts read this post and recognizes the scarf, I would be grateful to get that information. Thanks in advance.

Hi Canbal,

According to my records the scarf is entitled "Vinci" and was first issued in 1968 and re-issued in 2000 and 2004.

The designer was Francoise Heron. It is also out in the 70 cm size in 2008.

Thanks so much Jamie. I don't recall to have seen this design before and your information is very helpful. Best!
