Yes, that a great idea with a vintage thread. The most contemporary bags haven’t reached that age…I will look into that tonight….maybe we can set „vintage“ to our goals. Means- not up to at least 20 years but starting from 15 years or so 😅

I think 15 years is a good starting point for MJ "vintage" because he had such a massive shift from the luxury to the contemporary market. The vintage bag I got yesterday is a 2001 model... 👵

What about archival pieces? 2015 is when the brand shifted from the luxury category into the contemporary category, though Marc does still make some high end bags for runway presentations

I've bought three super vintage-y pieces in the last month that I knew were timeless and only one is in so-so condition. Well, I get it today so I'll be able to assess how much work I'll have to put into it. But for $50? When these bags never dropped below $500 even on discount at a department store? I'll take it.

I think so too! I have these two from 2009 saved for future me to look into (and possibly try to buy?) and the tassels are very much still present there so you’re probably right.

Here it is! I believe it’s a 2001 Zoe. The leather is overall in great shape and she’s very thick and slouchy. I’m thinking of either getting an insert and using her like the Coach empire or carrying her like a big squishy clutch.

So cute!! I just learned today that Marc only added bags to his brand in 2001 so this is an OG Marc bag!
