That's absolutely beautiful!
Thank you I really liked it, it was my first attempt at half moon mani
That's interesting thanks. So in your opinion it's best to do on top of my cured brilliance? Then I suppose I top coat it again?
Yep! If you want the design to last. If you think you will change it in a couple days just use a regular nail polish top coat then you can remove it with nail polish remover and change it.
That's gorgeous!!!!! Wow! Now I soooo want to do it.
Haha thanks its fun and quicker than drawing stuff on :)
Ok I'm confused lol. When you say you stamp with RNP what is that?

Is this right:

1. Red Carpet base, cure
2. Red Carpet colour coats and cure
3. Red Carpet brilliance top coat and cure & wipe tacky layer
4. Use Konad colour and plates to stamp, wipe any mistakes away with purify
5. Finish with another coat of Red Carpet brilliance top coat, cure and wipe.

Yep that's right, you can also remove stamping mistakes with nail polish remover since your SOG mani is complete it won't effect it :). RNP is regular nail polish, I don't have Konad special polish I just use my reg nail polish to stamp with

Oh I see thank you soooooo much. I wondered what RNP was lol. I'm gonna get myself some plates and have a play around with it. Yours looks fantastic, sooo professional. Thanks for all the tips on how to do it.

pinkprincess777 one last question. Do you use the Konad plates or just the cheaper plates? On ebay there are loads of cheap plates that look nice but the Konad are more expensive. Is there any difference in the finished look or are the cheaper plates just as good?

I've seen some stunning Gelish colours I really love. I've noticed on here some of you guys using gelish with RCM. Is it ok to use a gelish colour over my RCM base coat and use RCM top coat? How long would I need to cure gelish for with my RCM light? I've just bought two gelish colours from the sizzling nights collection online. One is called Shake Your Money Maker & the other is Sunrise & The City.

I have the 45 second lamp.

Lol your welcome hope you enjoy it, lots of trial and error just be patient with it. The best stamping RNP polishes are metallic ones or thicker older polishes.

I have never used the Konad plates because they are way over priced. I use MASH, Salon Effects "as seen on TV" kit, no name amazon brand, and bundle monster ( the 1st set is horrible). Check out soguesswhat11 on YouTube she has every set available with videos on how well they stamp :)

RCM and Gelish are made by same company so all their products are interchangeable without any risk I use both.

So do I just cure the Gelish colour for 45 seconds like RCM? I've read some people saying double the times so that confused me.

If you have a LED light that sounds right. The longer times ate probably for UV.

Thanks I have the 45 second LED light. Some people on RCM Facebook said double the times for darker colours. But their pro 45 second light is the same as the RCM one so I thought it would be the same as RCM. Some people said it curled up at the edges and didn't last.

This is a somewhat loose statement and if you ask them they will say they are not. Red Carpet Manicure and Nail & Hand Harmony are two independently run companies (one in Cali and one in NY actually) but the trademarks to both are owned by the same entity. They probably have had (or may still have) some of the same R&D and other such connections. I don't believe anybody has ever been able to confirm that they are manufactured or distributed from the same place.

I have some Gelish, but hate ordering from Amazon without seeing what I'm purchasing. I don't purchase the mini ones from Sally's because I think it's a waste of money. So, since Ulta is nearby and I can always find a $3.50 or $5 off coupon for a $10 purchase, I've been purchasing RCM. I think it's a great buy for a polish that is comparable to Gelish. I've used the RCM LED for 45 sec. on dark colors and it works without any problems.

I believe the times are the same for both lamps just darker colors sometimes need curing longer to fully cure. But they also need double the time sometimes with UV as well.
